#### Location
Villa Valenca enjoys a fantastic village setting in Tomino near the medieval towns of Tui, Valenca do Minho and Vilanova de Cerveira and just a twenty-minute drive to beautiful beaches and historic landmarks.

Tomino is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra in the autonomous community of Galicia, in Spain. It is situated in the comarca of O Baixo Mino. It is located on the Mino River. A market town with both a weekly outside and a very good covered market, little shops and supermarkets and other facilities, Tomino lies in one of the most fertile areas in Spain on the border of Portugal.

Surrounded by vineyards, kiwi plantations and garden nurseries, it is just north of the Rio Minho dividing Spain from Portugal. Besides its main town centre, it is made up of several little parishes. There are lovely river beaches along the Rio Minho and delightful walks along the many paths leading down to and along it. There are restaurants and bars in the town, but several others, belonging to the municipality are down near the river or along the main road that links Tui with A Guarda.

There are several local wine routes, especially dedicated to the most popular local wine, Albarino. Guests can drive up through the nearby vineyards of Bodegas Altos de Torona and get a panoramic view of the surrounding area. The gastronomy at Tomino is unparalleled, with a delicious selection of fish, seafood and meat, guests will be spoilt for choice at every meal time!

While in Tomino, guests may want to check out some of the restaurants that are a short walk away from Nueva Colina, including Taperia Epoca (1.2 mi), Restaurante Baixo Mino (0.1 mi), and cerveceria olala (0.1 mi). Looking for something to do in Tomino? Corazon de Carballo (1.2 mi) is a popular attraction that is within walking distance of Nueva Colina. There are also a range of fabulous beaches at Baiona, Ramallosa, A Guarda or even Caminha in Portugal. The river beaches on Rio Mino are just three kilometres away from Tomino.

There are many walking routes around Tomino, including the Parque Natural de Monte Aloia with five signposted walks and the Monte Teton not too far from the house. Guests can visit the prehistoric paintings and petroglyphs in Monte Teton, and the Celtic site of Monte Tecla and museum above A Guarda. There are also four challenging courses within an hour's drive of Tomino, as well as local markets on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Tomino (Wednesday), Valenca (Wednesday), and Tui (Thursday). There is also an antique market on the second Sunday of every month at Vilanova, just over the bridge into Portugal from Tomino.
