Description

If you are looking for something really quite astonishing rather than a traditional Mallorcan villa, in an incredibly private setting, then Villa Bico Muro may just be for you. Set amongst 28000 sqm of rural land and lawned gardens, a short drive from the bustling market town of Muro, you really will feel away from it all. With its eclectic mix of rustic, local stone walls, modern log burner and furniture, traditional kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven, intricate bedroom furniture, it really is a unique, interesting house.

Muro is a traditional rural town with sandstone buildings and a lovely old church. It is within an area known as the ‘vegetable basket' of Mallorca with its flat, fertile plain. You will find plenty of fresh produce and thriving wine industry in this area. Although it is inland, it is still only a 10-minute drive to the famous beach resorts of Can Picafort and Alcudia.

Inside, the villa delights with its spacious, comfortable lounge featuring an original Mallorcan stone wall, super comfy furniture and a lovely, atmospheric fire. An arch leads to the traditional dining room boasting a huge round dining suite. It feels rather grand. The kitchen is one of its kind and so appealing. There is direct access to the covered dining terrace.

The seating area on the first floor is so light and bright with floor to ceiling windows. It is a great space to read a book or just enjoy some peace and quiet! The master bedroom has an absolutely massive intricate bed and huge wardrobe as well as an en-suite and access to a balcony. The other bedrooms are a double and one with two sets of bunk beds. Both are so spacious. The three bathrooms are all very well designed and decorated. There is also a guest cloakroom.

The villa has wonderful views of the mountains and of the rural gardens. The lovely pool is surrounded by sun-loungers, and the covered terrace has a barbecue, sofas, chairs and a dining table for amazing alfresco summer dinners!

#### Location
There is quite a lot going on in Muro. The Sunday morning market has an impressive display of local fresh produce. A great opportunity to stock up for the villa! The Museo Etnologico de Muro features displays of traditional, rural life in Mallorca during different periods in history. You will find examples of traditional pottery which are still made today. If you would like to sample some local wine, the excellent vineyard of Bodega Butxet is close by, on the road to Can Picafort. You can also see a show at the local bull ring!

Can Picafort is full of sun, fun and summer buzz! This popular coastal resort is so developed you might think it is a purpose-built resort, but actually it has a lot of history and developed from being a small fishing village. There is great shopping, a Friday morning weekly market, a white, sandy, beautiful beach with so many watersports and many amazing restaurants, cafes and bars. The unspoilt beach of Son Serra de Marina is within easy distance too.

Experienced golfers will thoroughly enjoy the 18 hole course at Club de Golf Alcanda. It boasts amazing views as well as lovely fairways and a great restaurant.

In just 10 minutes you can be in the picturesque town of Alcudia. Alcudia has an architectural heritage with traces of human presence back to the 8th century BC. There are many historic buildings such as the Church of Sant Jaume, the Chapel of Sant Crist and La Sala to visit. The Medieval Old Town, with its intricate walls, cobbled streets, amazing restaurants and bars, evening entertainment and the open-air market, is a joy to visit. The marina is very buzzy with bars, restaurants and luxury yachts.
