Firostephani is famous for the Caldera "sunsets" and views and is a suburb of Thira town the capital. It has a wealth of restaurants, bars, shops and cafes to choose from, and the unique atmosphere makes it the place to go when Thira town gets busy in the height of the summer. Yalos beach has dark fine sand and a small harbour with a popular restaurant that serves drinks to the sunloungers on the beach during the day, with a varied cuisine and stays open serving cocktails until late. The island is made for exploring so the central base of House of Lillies is ideal for little jaunts to the north and south, always offering a peaceful retreat to return to.
