Description

Some country houses are appealing from the start - the down-to-earth villa "Son Masa" in the north of Mallorca is definitely one of them: a huge outdoor pool awaits on the large estate. Pool dimensions of 11 x 5 m are not all that common – and offer plenty of opportunities to get your circulation going after waking up in the morning. Since the island is so wonderfully sun-drenched, chances are that you'll be able to air dry on one of the loungers afterwards while someone else starts brewing the coffee - and then enjoy a hearty breakfast in the fresh air. The outdoor area is so beautiful that it serves as a perfect spot for the occasional BBQ event in the evening. The built-in BBQ is ideal for a lush outdoor feast. The estate is surrounded by a variety of trees that provide a snug, oasis-like atmosphere. The quarry-stone facade also contributes to the authenticity of this feel-good property.

Comfort is also the motto of the house's interior. You'll search for excessive pomp in vain here - in contrast, the virtues of country life close to nature are abundant: when you sit down with a fine wine in front of the large fireplace in the evening or cook up a storm in the extremely spacious kitchen, the house will soon exude a cosy atmosphere. A large dining table in the kitchen is available to enjoy a few tasty treats in good company. In the three bedrooms, six travellers will find everything they need for a restful night: one of the rooms is equipped with a comfortable double bed, the other two with two single beds each. Another pleasant aspect is that one of the two bathrooms boasts the luxury of a bathtub in case you feel like a sensual end to the day before going to bed. Since it spreads across just one level, the house is also wheelchair friendly.

The estate offers wonderful peace and quiet, which contributes considerably to a relaxing holiday for noise-sensitive people. The ocean is only 10 km away as the crow flies – excursions to the beaches of Can Picafort and Playa de Muro can be arranged in no time. And on the way there, you will pass by charming little villages such as Santa Margalida, 8.5 km away, where you can run all your errands. This is of course also possible in Muro itself, where you can sit in a cosy cafe and take in the tranquil scenery of serene island life. You will find souvenirs for your loved ones in Inca, which can be reached in 13.5 km and is known for its leather goods and shoes. Nature lovers can head to the wonderful Tramuntana mountains for hiking trips – and can combine this with a visit to the Lluc monastery, for example, which is 30 km away. The car does not always have to be the chosen means of transport: Just 1 km from the finca you will find a train stop (T2) where you can easily get to some places like Sa Pobla, Muro, Llubí, Inca, dezum Festival Park/Marratxí and even Palma.
