Description

If you let our video on "Sa Rosa des Vent" take you up into the air, you will see Portocolom, its natural harbour, and the small beach bay on the right. If you enjoy a good walk, you will definitely want to leave your car behind every now and then in this quiet, not very touristy neighbourhood, and stroll through the narrow streets of the old town. The (balcony) terraces of the two-storey villa may not completely reach an ocean-view height, however, this typically Mallorcan "wind rose" likes to move the sun for you and into your preferred direction - towards the mountains, to the green belt, or to the pool terrace. The loungers and wicker chairs can easily be moved from downstairs to upstairs, but there is more than enough space to spread out to all sides at the edge of the pool and in the shade of the trees. Convenient: The outdoor bathroom near the pool is great for a cool shower whenever you need it. In front of the house, a cosy green corner has been set up for you under the roof, which you can reserve for a quiet hour of reading or working. A mobile BBQ is of course also included into the bargain, but due to its location close to nature, must be used with caution, especially in summer.

You do have to climb a few steps to carry your luggage from the parking space up to the entrance area of this holiday home. The furnishings are typically Mallorcan. Not only does the rectangular living/dining room with its solid wood furniture, fireproof fireplace, and upholstered TV corner offer rustic charm and comfort; but the kitchen, which can be separated by a sliding door, is also well integrated and contains all the equipment you need (microwave, oven, and dishwasher are available). The washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in a separate room. On the ground floor, a spacious double room with two single beds, a bench, and en-suite bathroom is waiting to be allocated. Those who like to jump in the pool first thing in the morning will particularly enjoy this room. The decorative tiled staircase leads up to two more double rooms and a romantic single room, which share a bathroom with a shower (and maybe also the outdoor bathroom); the ground floor also provides a guest WC. Allocating the rooms may require some negotiating: The "Violet Dream" is the only one that does not have its own balcony terrace. By the way: thanks to the alarm system you can feel completely safe in this holiday home.

The quiet town of Portocolom makes occasional reference to Christopher Columbus – but every guest can also bring their own adventurous spirit and wanderlust, no matter whether they prefer to explore the still-authentic Mallorca and the coast between Capdepera and Cala d'Or on foot, by car, or by boat. An excursion to the area around Santanyí and Cala de Santanyí leads you to the Migjorn – "where the southern winds blow" and where salt and wine, pink lagoons, and pristine beaches shape the landscape. However, those who prefer to stay in town will also find plenty of variety. They can walk along the idyllic natural harbour at dusk and admire the sailing yachts, enjoy fresh fish in the old town, daydream at the pretty lighthouse with a view of the blue sea, or unwind at the beach bar in S’Arenal. Enjoy Mallorca, wherever the winds may take you...
