Description

After driving along some small local roads, we arrive for our viewing of the villa "Can Teulada" on a sunny day. Out first impression is, "what a scenic place this is!" Right from the start, we can sense the totally cosy ambience that pervades everything here, and we feel drawn to explore the estate further. All along the way, we stop to admire the lush Mediterranean greenery in the form of palms, bushes, and flowers that adorn the grounds. In front of the house is a veranda with a huge wooden dining table. Everyone in your group can sit here and enjoy meals together in this airy, covered area. It's also going to be fantastic to be able to have a hearty breakfast out here and greet the new day while enjoying the view of the garden. On the other side of the veranda is a rattan couch and another one made of brick, making this a great place to relax outdoors. Make yourself a nice drink and just live it up out here in this cosy spot. The green shutters on the house, the rustic exposed ceiling beams, and the natural stone floors all add to the feeling of ease and comfort; in the evenings, romantic pendant lights complete the effect. Just a few steps from here is the pool, with a rounded shape that makes it look almost like a large pond. This impression is further enhanced by the large stones that have been placed around the edges. This fanciful design helps make the pool an extraordinary place to cool off on a hot summer's day. Steps leading into the water make it easy to get in and get out. Afterwards, lie out on one of the eight comfortable lounge chairs and give yourself over to the warm Mediterranean sunshine for as long as you wish. And if you'd rather lie in the shade, you can do so in the natural shade provided by the trees throughout the day, or under the umbrella out here. When you'd rather do something other than enjoy the sweet idleness of sitting by the pool: that's what the ping pong table is for.

When we enter the villa, we're immediately taken aback by the charming effect of the various fabrics, colours, and furniture pieces in the composition of the room. Light-coloured walls, exposed ceiling beams, rounded archways, and terracotta floor tiles make the room feel cosy and warm, whilst unique works of art enhance the overall inviting atmosphere of this place. The ground floor houses a large living room with comfy sofas and a fireplace to provide additional ambience on cooler evenings. Just around the corner, the kitchen is designed in the traditional Mallorcan style, with a gorgeous antique wooden table in the middle of the room that's perfect for a lavish indoor feast. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need for daily use, including an oven, cooker, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, and filter coffee maker. There's another table between the living room and the kitchen so there should always be enough room for everyone. One bedroom and one bathroom are also located on this floor; the other three bedrooms and two bathrooms are in the upper storey. All of the bedrooms are warm and inviting, with a high degree of aesthetic appeal. Nothing should disturb your rest here in this environment – even if now and again you do hear the neighbours' dogs barking off in the distance. The contemporary bathrooms offer enough room and comfort for everyone on the trip; there are also two hair dryers available so you won't have to deal with bringing them all the way here from home. One special highlight of this house is that it has a finished semi-basement featuring a brightly lit main room containing a dining table and two beds. There's also a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a hob. And rounding out this original living space are two more bedrooms and a bathroom. This area is great for any teens who might be making the trip or for anyone else who is particular about their privacy. Another advantage is that – thanks to its construction – the temperature stays quite cool down here, even when it's really hot outside.

Of course, aside from all the things we've already mentioned, one of the major things that the villa "Teulada" has going for it is its fantastic location. On the one hand, you're out in the countryside, but on the other hand you're just a few minutes away from the sea by car. The sandy beaches around Port de Pollença have a shallow entry into the water, which makes them especially attractive for families. And Pollença is an ideal destination if you ever feel like leaving the country comfort of the villa for a little while. The town of Pollença is about 7 km from the coast, and has a few attractions of its own, including a beautiful church. If you climb the hill up to the Calvary chapel, the reward is a gorgeous view from the top.
