Description
This tranquil remote retreat is ideally located to enjoy the unrivaled views looking towards the Peak District. Only a short walk away from the Pennine Way with easy access to the quaint Saddleworth Villages and equidistant from the cosmopolitan cities of Manchester and Leeds, both being only 40 minutes drive away.
We pride ourselves on comfort, pure luxury, home from home feel and a relaxing ambiance throughout your stay.
The cottage has a private gated entrance and garden with one large bedroom with an extremely comfortable king size bed with luxury bed linen (750 thread count).
The beautiful bathroom has been finished to a very high standard with sparkly floor to ceiling tiles and a ‘proper’ shower.
The kitchen / lounge area is open plan and fully integrated with a sofa bed, reading chair, breakfast bar, kettle, fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave and hob.
The area gets good phone and 4G coverage - the cottage also has free WiFi.
In our opinion Craven Cottage enjoys some of the best views in Saddleworth looking towards the Peak District, at the same time giving you everything you should need for a quiet and relaxing few nights away, or for a weeks holiday where you wish to use it as a base thanks to its central location. Saddleworth itself has lots of interesting days out to offer, before needing to venture out of the ‘shire’. No wonder it’s known by the locals as ‘God’s own country’.
Chris and his wife Julia run the cottage, with the help of their daughter Charlotte. Julia has a keen eye for attention to detail, perfection and cleanliness – ensuring your cottage is spic and span and ready for you to enjoy! We care about your stay and strive to ensure we do everything we can to make you want to return!
From the beginning we have aimed to create a holiday cottage paradise, where you can relax in comfortable surroundings and enjoy our beautiful area…planning your next trip before you even leave!
DOGS
Well behaved dogs accompanying their owners are welcome to stay at 10 pounds / dog / night. Please bring their own beds for them to sleep in. We don’t want to find dog hairs in your bed or on the sofas! The charge is to cover the additional cleaning that is required to keep up with our high standards, after our doggy friends have stayed.
