This lovely holiday home is located in a small hamlet in the mountains, 8 km above Sansepolcro. A former summer residence of the bishop, it has been comfortably restored by the Irish owners and now offers an ideal accommodation for guests who like to spend their holiday in unspoiled nature, fresh air and clear waters (springs, wild brooks). The access to the house is through a wide staircase leading to the veranda, a friendly dining place for pleasant moments outdoors in any weather. The owners occasionally stay in a separate apartment on the second floor (communal stairs). This accommodation features a small garden with barbecue and sun loungers. From here you can go onto the Via Francigena, and walk up to the impressive monastery of Montecasale (7km), Cerbaiolo (10km), further on towards La Verna - or up to the mountain Alpe della Luna (1453 m). Sansepolcro is a typical Medieval town with many shops, trattorias and bars, where you can taste the local specialties and wine, or visit the famous cathedral and the art gallery; in addition to numerous cultural events, you can't miss a colorful market which is held twice a week. In the surroundings you can visit Arezzo (50 km), Città di Castello (18 km), Anghiari (18 km); the Franciscan monastery of La Verna (40 km); within an hour drive you can also reach Perugia (75 km) and Assisi (90 km).
