This charming white villa with deep red shutters provides an ideal holiday home, set against the stunning hot Portuguese climate in the village of Comporta.

With a sparkling private pool outside and a small shack at the end of the garden containing a charming dining area, Villa Calixta is perfect for enjoying days both inside and out.

The villa has steps leading up to the entrance and is set over two floors that give guests magnificent views of the surrounding nature. The traditional villa has a lovely garden with well-kept grass and a small patio with deck chairs and sun lounges for lazing away in the beautiful weather.

The dining area on the patio is covered by a quaint and cosy wooden shack that is lit up at night by a light that hangs from the ceiling, providing an excellent way to spend evenings eating & drinking with friends.

The living room is a pleasant and bright space that possesses a cosy leather chair, comfortable seating and a glass fireplace surrounding a flat screen television for evenings spent inside. The room opens out onto the garden and is open plan with the kitchen and dining room.

The kitchen is decorated with colourful tiles and contains all of the modern appliances needed to make a plethora of tasty meals that can be enjoyed in the welcoming dining area which seats up to six people. The bathrooms are decorated with tiles and let in plenty of stunning natural light.

Guests will be delighted with the spacious and comfortable bedrooms complete with bright bedding, wooden laminate floors and vibrant artworks that adorn the walls. In the basement lies the games room equipped with a pool table and ping-pong table for endless hours of indoor fun.

Villa Calixta is located in the village of Comporta, home to plenty of awe-inspiring natural beauty to take in. Visitors to the village have the opportunity to partake in striking nature tours via horseback riding, biking and kayaking.

What better way to witness the local scenery than by riding horseback across the golden sandy beaches with the sea waves gently crashing in the wind.

Visitors can see the village via bicycle, riding deep into the heart of Portugal's stunning wildlife. The bike tours let travellers view the vast beaches and rice fields as well as animals in their natural habitats.

Kayaking across the pleasant Vala Real is also a great way to see Comporta. There is the spectacular opportunity to watch dolphins and a wide variety of bird species in their natural habitat around the Nature Park of Arrabida, a picturesque and protected area of land.

Whilst staying at Villa Calixta, guests can bask in the beauty of Alcacer do Sal, a municipality right beside the Sado river visited for its serene and captivating landscape. Alcacer do Sal used to be utilised by the Roman Empire to transport local food & drink products.

The area is also known for manufacturing salt which is where the Sal in Alcacer do Sal comes from. The Castle of Alcacer do Sal most certainly requires a visit and is a medieval site situated on top of a hill that boasts sensational views over the whole of the local landscape and beyond.
