Description

Holiday house close to the sea in the tourist resort of Lido delle Nazioni. Strategic location for getting easily to some historic cities such as Venice, Padoa and Ravenna. For sea, relaxation and entertainment lovers, the Riviera in the region Emilia-Romagna is the ideal destination with its famous resorts such as Rimini, Riccione, Cattolica, Milano Marittima and, further north, the 7 beaches of the area around Ferrara. The “Lidi Ferraresi”, called also “Lidi di Comacchio”, are situated along the Adriatic coast between Venice and Ravenna. With its 40 km of fine, sandy beaches with low water the coast is ideal for families with children; here you find equipped bathing establishments and a lot of places to visit. Those who like biking will love to organize some trips through the pine woods and on the dirt tracks along the river Po or the coast. You will surely appreciate the typical food of this area which is famous for its excellent bread, the eel of Comacchio, the numerous typical fish dishes and fruits such as apricots, strawberries and melons. The area of the Comacchio valleys, situated between thin rivers and brackish lakes, is the largest, humid complex in Italy and the most interesting area of the Po Delta: here you will be able to observe numerous birds. The river Po and all its branches form a particular labyrinth which can be explored by motor or simple boats. Do not miss to visit the Abbey of Pomposa, the antique town of Ravenna (35 km) which still conserves extraordinary early Christian monuments and Byzantine mosaics, Ferrara (60 km) offering a historical center dating back to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and, last not least the wonderful city of art of Venice which surely belongs to the most beautiful towns all over the world. In an 80-100 km distance you will find several amusement and aqua parks where not only your kids will have fun. The cuisine of Emilia-Romagna is one of the most creative and tasty cuisines of Italy. The authentic flavours of the gastronomic specialities, ranging from rustic to seafood dishes, vary depending on the place. The dishes and local ingredients, together with ancient traditions, bring to the table the well known "Tortellino, Piadina, Tagliatelle, Parma ham, balsamic vinegar and Parmigiano Reggiano", as well as the famous Eel of Comacchio. Enjoy these delicacies in the kitchen of your holiday home in Emilia Romagna.
