This holiday house is situated in Engi in Bárdaldálur, a picturesque valley located 75 km away from Akureyri and 68 km away from Husavik, which is quite close by Icelandic standards. Those who are interested in the volcanoes and the inner Iceland, can take a bus tour to the volcano Askja. The waterfall Godafoss, which is the largest waterfall in Europe and the waterfall Dettifoss are located very close to the house. Those who are interested in riding the many different Icelandic horses will get their money's worth here, because you will find many opportunities for riding them in the neighbourhood. You can also experience river rafting, visit the very interesting Lake Myvatn or go to the islands of Grimsey and Hrísey and experience the magnificent nature there. If you want to know about the history of the country, you can make a trip to the Museum of Akureyri. You can also dine in one of the many restaurants there. The nearest shop is 28 km away from the house, where you can possibly buy something to barbecue on the terrace. This is a typical Icelandic house with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
