Description

The pleasantly named "Es Calo" is a white beach villa with cobblestone inlay, nestled in a village that can be best described as the sea's front garden. The property's great location is only a stone's throw away from a small sandy beach and crystal clear waters. You can see the sea stretch out in front of your very eyes into the horizon whilst simultaneously enjoying a view of the most sublime mountains in the east coast, including Son Morell and Puig de Ferrutx. The backdrop is so so unbelievably beautiful that it can hardly be put into words. A series of spacious terraces and numerous places to sit, as well as an evergreen lawn and a very large pool form a little oasis in these splendid surroundings, separated from the neighbours by green hedgerows. The pool, with surrounding sun terrace, has comfy sun-loungers and parasols to offer. A terrace covered by a bamboo canopy on the side of the house is a very chilled-out spot with a touch of caribbean relaxation. In this atmosphere, you can have a quick, relaxed game of table-tennis if you need a change. If you're getting together in the early evening, then why not enjoy the sunset in the calming setting of the lounge with its sea and mountain views, before kicking off the barbecue evening in the neighbouring dining area? Breakfast at daybreak, a drink at sundown – every part of the day has its very own appeal in this fabulous place. Each and every meal can be transferred outside, as the no less impressive interior of this incredible villa is accessible through numerous floor length windows.

Food preparations are easily catered for by the house's interior, and it would be a total shame if you weren't to make use of the white, brightly polished designer kitchen. Thanks to the complete range of equipment, which will leave you the guest wholly satisfied, your chosen option of self-catering will transform into a communal cooking experience. The soft sunlight falls through the numerous, mostly floor-length windows and floods the stylish living room, painted in white, with embedded spotlights in the ceiling, and all the while the dark wooden floor creates a wonderful contrast. The open-plan living-cum-dining area is a floor below the kitchen, giving the architecture a unique bit of magic. Of the three spacious bedrooms, one is found on the ground floor, and the other two are on the upper floor. You can enjoy an incredible sea view from all of the bedrooms and, just before you drop off, the sounds of the wind and the waves. As a mark of luxury, there are three bathrooms with natural stone tiling, as well as interesting wash basins made from an exciting mix of concrete and wood. "Es Calo" doesn't compromise on anything, instead offering a varied development in a well-tended setting.

Betlem is the model of gentle tourism, as it only has large villas like the impressive "Es Calo", a real retreat for individualists. This section of the Bay of Alcúdia is characterised by often deserted sandy beaches. The sublime Llevant mountain range wraps protectively around the village. Because the mountains drop right down into the sea, the coastline forms a wonderfully jagged image. Nature-lovers will find a variety of options for lengthy hikes. Cap Ferrutx should definitely not be left off your list of places to go. Tennis, golf and numerous watersports are further activities for you to choose from. With two good restaurants in the resort itself and others along the promenade in Colonia de Sant Pere, there is plenty of culinary variety.
