The choice of beaches is impressive, with Ai Helis, Ammos and Avithos beaches all offering sandy bays and a beachside taverna or two. A twenty minute drive away is Lassi a peaceful beach resort and a further 10 minutes is Argostoli the Capital of the island. With a selection of sophisticated eateries as well as traditional tavernas, a harbourside vegetable, fruit and fish market, and a lovely pedestrianised street of shops, it is well worth a visit.
