Villa El Lucero is truly an amazing place. Not just because the house is so beautifully situated between Alcaucin and Zafaraya, but also for offering more than the average holiday home.

The house is tastefully and brightly decorated and very spacious. It is surrounded by a very large terrace/garden with a wonderful swimming pool, a unique outdoor kitchen, and last but not least, a relaxing sauna in an annex. The house is surrounded by nature though only 5 km from bars, restaurants and shops. Villa El Lucero is a unique place to disconnect, relax and enjoy. The views over the valley are truly breath-taking and bring peace and beauty to our guests. Even in Winter you can enjoy the many days of sun that this region has to offer.

When you pass the entrance gate there is a carport for 2 cars. The large terrace and garden (pick your own citrus fruit !) that surround the house have 3 sitting corners, 2 of them covered. Next to the house is Summer kitchen with BBQ, sink and spacious sitting area. For the fresher days you can close this outdoor kitchen with transparent tarpaulins and still enjoy eating outside. There is a large swimming pool with loungers, parasols and an outside shower.
In an annex in the garden, our guests have a sauna at their disposal with private toilet and shower. (Please note that use of the sauna is subject to a surcharge.)

Villa El Lucero has 3 bedrooms with amazing view of the mountains and 2 fully equipped bathrooms (1 of them is ensuite with the master bedroom), a hall with reading corner, a spacious and lovely decorated living room with comfortable seats, woodstove and a very well equipped large open kitchen with dining space. The living room has large windows that provide views of the beautiful surrounding nature.
There is a washing machine, FREE WIFI and smart tv. All the windows have shutters and flyscreen.
Everything our guests need to spend a worry-free holiday is provided by us. Bed-, bath and kitchen linen, a baby bed and highchair if needed. Electricity, water and final cleaning are all included in our rental prices. (Only with special reduced prices for monthly rental in the low season, electricity is not included.)

The house's construction and orientation result in it staying fairly cool in summer and warm in winter. That is why the owners chose not to install aircon. There are ceiling ventilators for the hottest days and an excellent chimney for colder evenings. Every room has its electric heater. Solar panels provide hot water.
If you want to bring your dog, we ask you kindly to consult us first. The whole plot is enclosed, so safe for your pets but please note that we do not allow pets without prior consultation and that an accommodation fee has to be paid.

The views from the house are truly spectacular.

Villa El Lucero is situated near the beautiful and typical Andalusian village of Alcaucin that lies at 508 meter altitude. It is located on the side of the impressive Sierra Tejeda, overlooking the Axarquia region and Zafarraya Gap.
In the hamlet of Puente don Manuel at a 5-minutes’ drive by car, you can find bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, a bakery and an excellent butcher.

Alhama de Granada with its magnificent views, walking trail and medicinal health spa lies only at 27km from Villa El Lucero.
30 minutes by car take you to the multi-award-winning beach of Torre del Mar. Ideal for spending a day by the sea. On the way, you pass a large commercial centre with supermarkets and shops.
Malaga, the amazing city at the Costa del Sol, birthplace of Pablo Picasso, cultural and gastronomic paradise is just a 1-hour drive away.

All tourist highlights of Andalusia are easy to visit during a day trip. Granada with the world famous Alhambra, Cordoba and the unique Mezquita, the breathtakingly beautiful hiking trail Caminito del Rey, Ronda the dramatically perched village, and so much more…
