The Main House:
The interior boasts 2,100 sq ft of space in the main house. The bright, airy, open-concept Great Room features 15-foot high ceilings, ceiling vigas, large windows, earth-tone brick floors, and beautifully woven wool carpets.
Gather on the extra-large comfy sectional sofa nicely arranged with chairs and ottomans around a kiva fireplace in the lounge area. Stream your favorite shows or movies on the 65” wall-mounted Smart TV. Play games on the game table or read one of the books on the shelves. Listen to music via the Marshall Bluetooth speakers. Dine at the kitchen counter bar or at the glass-top dining table, offering seating for eight below a wrought iron chandelier. Two sets of French doors off the Great Room open out to a brick patio with a seating area and a kiva fireplace to enjoy in the evening. The character of this home is in the details: original American Indian artworks and treasures from all over the world.
The kitchen has clerestory windows that imbue the room with soft light, natural wood cabinetry, solid stone counters, and new state-of-the-art appliances, including a French door fridge & freezer, microwave, dishwasher, oven with glass top range, and all the small appliances one could wish for. A breakfast bar offers comfortable seating for three. A large laundry room with a new commercial-size washer and dryer as well as a sink also stores pantry and linens for the home.
The bedrooms have new Berber wool, wall-to-wall carpeting.
The primary bedroom is very private and features a plush king bed, walk-in closet, and ensuite 5-piece bath with a double vanity featuring hammered copper basins, an oversized soaking tub, and a separate stall shower decorated with vibrant, southwestern-style custom tile. In the large primary suite, there is also a sitting area with two curved leather armchairs and an antique ottoman beside another Kiva fireplace. There’s a dressing table or work desk and an enormous picture window that offers enchanting vistas of desert mountains and open skies. Glass doors open out to the patio.
Bedroom #2 has a king bed (can be two single extra-long twin beds), a work desk & chair, a closet, an antique bureau, an elegant window seat, and French doors that open out to a private patio with fountain, seating, and courtyard gardens. Bedroom #2 has access to a large full bathroom with a tub/shower combination just off the hallway.
The Guest Suite:
Across the portal from the main house is a private studio or Bedroom #3 with an ensuite full bathroom and walk-in closet. Here is a queen-size bed, leather loveseat and chair, another kiva fireplace, bureau, wall-mounted flat-screen TV, picture windows to a garden, and double glass doors that open to a portal with mountain views.
The Casita:
Across the portal from the Main House is also the casita. This guest house has a second Great Room with a private covered porch, a southwestern-inspired patio sofa, and an alfresco dining table for four. Sip your morning coffee as you marvel at the enchanting views. Traditional chile pepper ristras hang, adding charm, color, and authenticity to the front porch decor. There is a sitting area with a queen-size sofa bed and two armchairs, nicely arranged between the 65” Smart TV and another Kiva fireplace. There is also an interior dining table with seating for four beside a built-in bookshelf featuring treasures from the owner’s travels around the world. The kitchenette has a small sink, Sub-Zero under-counter fridge/freezer, microwave, two burner cooktop, and beautiful Alderwood cabinets. Bedroom #4 is located in this casita and has a king-size bed, a large skylight, a closet, a dresser, and matching nightstands. The Casita bathroom has a walk-in shower.
Outdoor Spaces:
Enjoy colorful native plantings and shrubs, with several alfresco dining and sitting spaces shaded by large umbrellas. Prepare a feast on the large BBQ grill located in the covered portal. At night, stargaze as you relax in the saltwater hot tub. The Casas de San Juan gated community is a sophisticated, quiet, and highly desirable luxury neighborhood with both estate homes and villas in an area rich with cultural history.
