Description

With the beautiful, old natural-stone villa "Son Corco", you can turn your dream of a country holiday with every comfort into reality. Boasting more than 200 m², the house was built in the midst of a wonderful Mediterranean landscape in the island's north. If you let your gaze drift from the covered terrace, you will see nothing but tall palm trees, huge cypresses, beautiful almond and gnarly olive trees - and in the distance, the mountains that impressively rise into the brilliant blue sky. The pool behind the house shimmers in the sun in an enticing turquoise-blue - after a few refreshing laps, you can settle down on one of the comfortable loungers and enjoy the sweet idleness or read a good book with a tasty drink in hand. Of course, this can also be done on the covered terrace with its bright-red-painted wall directly by the house, on which not only a dining table with chairs, but also a cosy hammock for a siesta, invite you to linger.

The interior of "Son Corco" clearly shows that someone with an excellent sense of style has been at work here: The entire furnishings demonstrate a successful mix of classic antique, sometimes rustic furniture and decorative elements and very modern, purist details that wonderfully complement each other. All rooms feature typically Mallorcan wooden furniture. The open living and dining area will not only win you over with its two cosy sofas and several armchairs, but also with its dark-brown dining table with chairs and a great, old china cabinet decorated with porcelain. As a surprising contrast, the walls have been decorated with modern art – and the chic flat-screen TV on the wall is clearly a contemporary item. Just like the high-quality appliances in the otherwise beautifully nostalgic kitchen with attractive blue and white tiles, which offers a rustic wooden table for you to enjoy your breakfast. The three bedrooms with wooden ceiling beams also impress with various details – be it the elaborately engraved bed or the delicate Spanish lace curtains on the windows. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms – all renovated, with high-quality furnishings, sparkling clean, and discreetly designed.

Your holiday villa is only about 2.1 km away from the quiet village of Consell, which can be reached quickly and comfortably by rental car along the road, which may be audible depending on the wind direction. During the week, the town is rather sleepy and you can leisurely take a look at shops, cafes, and restaurants or do your shopping at the supermarket. On Thursday, you will find fresh fruit and vegetables as well as all kinds of crafts at the weekly market in front of the church. The town is always a little busier on Sundays: Between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Mallorca's largest second-hand market takes place at the village entrance, and regularly attracts many visitors from the entire island. For a day by the sea, you can drive to the beautiful, shallow, and sandy beach of Ciudad Jardin, for example, which is about 25.5 km away.
