Description

The cosy villa "Rafal Cogoll" is a lovely rural property, furnished in a particularly child friendly way and available at an equally family-friendly price. This smoothly plastered villa, built in the 1990s, has remained faithful to Mallorcan tradition, while its modern furnishings are supplemented with typical rustic Spanish features. Here, you will find a distinctly friendly and bright atmosphere that filled us with a genuine sense of well-being on our first visit. This two-storey villa offers plenty of space in its vast layout for a family or group of friends. On the ground floor, there is a welcoming entrance hall together with two opulent dining rooms. The kitchen is between these two dining rooms. In the fully equipped kitchen with its wooden fronted units, no luxury is spared: two coffee makers, dishwasher, microwave, cooker with ceramic hob, and much more are provided to make your self-catering holiday a success. A large set of glass double doors connects the kitchen to the dining room with its cosy fireplace. From the kitchen, you can reach the even more spacious dining room with its long table and comfy wooden rocking chairs. Under the basket arches – built on pillars – and the exposed woodwork of the ceiling beams, you can enjoy cheerful communal evenings. The tastefully decorated walls, with their collection of hand-painted porcelain and traditional copper pots, add to the homely feel of this house, which will immediately brighten up your day.

From the entrance hall, a staircase leads to the top floor of this appealing house, containing the actual living room and all four bedrooms. Every bedroom is individually designed. One has a pretty patterned carpet with a delicate design, another has a rustic old stone wall; bedsteads of turned wood alternate with bedsteads of filigree metal pipes in art nouveau style. All bedrooms offer enough space for your holiday wardrobe. A cot is available for our very small guests. One of the bedrooms has a door opening onto a lovely sun terrace complete with small table. Here, you can enjoy peace in the morning with your freshly brewed coffee. Stairs lead from the terrace to the pool area, which has been enclosed with a small pillared wall to make it child friendly. The stairs allow access to this area via a movable lockable gate. The pool with sun terrace are located on what can be considered a half plane, i.e. it is accessible via the aforementioned staircase from the top floor and also via the second staircase, leading from the parking area to the pool area. The sun terrace houses eight sun loungers and two parasols, so that you can fully enjoy the Mediterranean way of life after a dip in the pool. As a whole, the outside area of the villa enjoys a lovely relaxed design, incorporating a total of 16 outdoor seating areas spread throughout the estate. A covered terrace at the house also includes the small bistro style table under the shade of a tree. We particularly like the large covered outdoor kitchen plus grill area, where you can round off the day relaxing by the BBQ.

You can buy fresh local produce of the paradisiacal Balearic islands at the weekly markets. On Thursdays in Sant Llorenc, or on Tuesdays in Artà, for example. The supermarkets are also within easy reach – Manacor is only a 5-minute drive away and Sant Llorenc is just a little further. As this attractive villa is about 250 m from the main road linking Artà to Manacor, these towns are within very easy reach – as are all other sights of the island. Also within easy reach are the lovely beaches of the eastern part of the island, the so-called "Calas de Mallorca", that are often compared to a string of pearls, because they are so closely strung together and you can walk from one bay to the next. Some of these bathing coves are small, hidden, and almost untouched, with excellent water quality. Exciting days at the seaside await you. The location of the cosy villa "Rafal Cogoll" offers another unusual feature – being directly on the Via Verde. The Via Verde came into being several years ago on the former rail track, built for trains traveling from Palma to Artà, which was never finished. The story now has its happy ending with the creation of the Via Verde – a 28-kilometre long route, leading from Manacor via Sant Llorenç, Son Carrió, and Son Servera to Artà. For its transformation, 4,800 trees and 15,200 plants were planted along the path, and quiet areas and picnic zones created. Therefore, a hire car is not needed, you can just take a small hike or ride around on the bike (three bikes available at "Rafal Cogoll" free of charge, any extras (three max) cost €30 per stay).

We at Fincallorca wish you a relaxing and varied holiday in the welcoming villa "Rafal Cogoll", on offer at a particularly fair price.
