Accommodating up to eight guests and bursting with fabulous modern amenities, this luxurious yet cosy property is part of an exclusive six-home complex, complete with a shared pool and gardens.

Casa Playanera's interior is spacious and open-plan, with light, fresh decor and sliding glass doors that allow in plenty of natural light. The comfortable lounge space offers guests the perfect place to chill out with family and friends, with sumptuous white sofas and a flatscreen TV for your entertainment. There's ample dining space at the rustic wooden dining table for up to eight guests - ideal for intimate indoor meals that can be rustled up in the villa's spacious and well-equipped kitchen. This gleaming space is complete with glossy white units and food-preparation surfaces, a central island with integrated hob and hood, and a host of other professional-grade appliances, including an oven and microwave, large fridge-freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher - as well as a range of cookware, crockery and utensils.

The ground floor of Casa Playanera also features a stylish and modern family bathroom, as well as a laundry space complete with a washing machine - ideal for those enjoying an extended stay or for anyone who wants to pack a little lighter for their trip and save some room in their luggage for those all-important souvenirs. On the first floor, you'll be greeted by the villa's stylish bedrooms, all decorated to a high standard and featuring the same fresh decor as the rest of the villa, with dazzling white walls and accents in natural, rustic shades. The main suite has a comfortable double bed and benefits from ensuite facilities, as well as providing guests access to a private terrace - a great spot for enjoying a quiet morning cuppa and taking in the incredible ocean views. There are two more equally elegant double rooms - one featuring an additional single bed, making it an ideal choice for couples staying with a child, and a twin room, great for older kids or teens. Guests staying in these rooms share a modern, family bathroom.

Casa Playanera has some fabulous outdoor spaces to enjoy, including a covered and fully-furnished outdoor lounge area, which is a wonderful space for enjoying pre-dinner drinks and conversation with friends. A barbecue and dining area means that you and your guests can partake in alfresco dining during your stay, and you'll find additional seating on the porch for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The six independent villas on this stunning complex share the use of a garden area and pool, which offers a fantastic opportunity to make new friends before heading back to your own private space and making the most of the incredible sunsets that the region is famous for.

#### Location
Casa Playanera enjoys a privileged location in Agua Amarga, just metres from the beach and the town centre. Agua Amarga has been described as one of Andalucia's hidden seaside treasures, and with a small population of just 400 people, it largely remains untouched by large-scale tourism, making it an idyllic and peaceful place to stay. This pretty town has a delightfully laid-back atmosphere, with a beach that is ideal for families thanks to its sheltered location, calm waters and golden sands. There's no seafront promenade here, but visitors enjoy their time strolling along the beach, attending local yoga classes, and frequenting the bars and restaurants that line the beach. If you're after excellent Mediterranean cuisine, you'll find some great spots in the town serving up fresh, traditional food, including El Playa, which is famous for its freshly-caught-fish dishes, tapas bars and wineries, pizzerias, and the designer restaurant 'Oleaje', which offers everything from seafood Paella to grilled meats and vegetarian options.

There are some wonderful independent boutiques for those who want to hunt for unique souvenirs during their stay, including handmade jewellery and clothing. During the summer months and through to October, the beach scene is lively, and the trendy bars are buzzing, and for families, there are plenty of playgrounds to be found - including one right on the beach.

If you've had enough of laying on the beach and want to burn off some of those calorific treats, you'll find plenty of pretty and isolated coves to explore to the south (be sure to take plenty of water!), as well as the site of the mineral loading dock and the old coal store that the town is famous for. Further along, you'll discover the lighthouse that dates back to 1863 and the watchtower Torre de Mesa Roldan, which has been documented since 1497. Film and TV buffs might be interested to learn that the fort you can see here was used as a film location for Game of Thrones, and you can also see the villa featured in the Ben Kingsley film Sexy Beast.
