Situated to the rear of the popular family resort of Cala en Porter, close to the famous Covas (caves) music bar, Solymar enjoys an elevated position, taking full advantage of the sea views that give it its name of sun and sea. Although the resort facilities and beach are all within a short walk, a car is recommended for the weekly "big shop" from the supermarket just less than a kilometre away. The swimming pool, with steps access and a shallow section, is surrounded by sun-kissed terraces with sun loungers, a built-in barbecue and a shaded dining terrace. Inside the rooms are light and airy and include a spacious lounge-diner, a traditional fitted kitchen and four bedrooms sharing two bathrooms. All bedrooms now have newly installed air-conditioning.
