#### Location
Just 45 minutes from the Portuguese capital, this villa can be found on the wild and beautiful west coast, on the edge of the Serra de Sintra national park, just minutes from Cabo do Roca, the most westerly point of mainland Europe. Situated only 100m from the golden sands of Praia Grande and its surrounding bars and restaurants you will have plenty to keep you and your family occupied.

The largest beach of the Cascais-Sintra coastline, Praia Grande is the perfect stretch of sand to enjoy spectacular scenery with wonderfully imposing cliffs and impressive waves, ideal for surfers. You'll even find fossilized dinosaur footprints which appear to walk straight up the near vertical cliff face. Although there are a great variety of amenities here you might also want to head a few minutes north to the picturesque village of Azenhas do Mar, with its whitewashed houses beautifully spilling down the jagged cliff. Cameras at the ready! Or head 5km inland to the popular Summer resort of Colares, set in the foothills of the Sintra Mountains where fabulous vineyards abound.

For an idyllic day-trip head 20km east to beautiful Sintra, considered not only one of the wonders of Portugal, but indeed of Europe. A UNESCO world heritage site, this former Royal town nestles in a stretch of hills surrounded by plain, estuary or Ocean creating an idyllic Paradise. Stunning buildings will impress, from the baroque and rococo Quelez Palance and the Palacio de Pena built on the remains of a Hieronymite monastery, to the spectacular Castelo dos Mouros, a ruinous Moorish castle set amidst the lush forests of the Serra De Sintra offering spectacular views over the region.

Just 45 minutes from the enchanting city of Lisbon, you are ideally located to experience one of Europe's most captivating and picturesque capitals. One of the world's greatest natural harbours has attracted many different civilizations over time, which is now mirrored in its beautiful architecture and culture. Hillsides covered in tumbledown houses and a mix of baroque and neoclassical buildings, including fabulous cathedrals and grand palaces, make up Lisbon's attractive skyline. Enjoy delicious cuisine, including incredible seafood like bacalhau, and sardinhas, and spend evenings sipping port wine on terraces adorned with bougainvillea, along the cobblestones of the historic Alfama district. Just perfect.
