Among the tall Notting Hill townhouses, London Home 153’s front door leads into the open-plan ground floor. On the left is the contemporary kitchen, which – like the rest of this home – is hung with photos taken by the well-travelled host. The cabinets are a dark wood, the six dining chairs have black and white backs, and an arch to the left takes you through to the sitting room. With bookshelves on one side and a bay window on the other, it’s learned as well as light.



Down the stairs and to the right is the master bedroom, which has a super-king bed and an ensuite with cream tiles. Next door is the bathroom, and further on is a king-size bedroom with a bay window and a pastoral triptych. At the end of the corridor, the second sitting room has a day bed, and more paintings and photography to focus on.
