Description

Even though the main road ends in Betlem, this town with small, Mediterranean-style casas is anything but a dead end. Rather, it is a favourite summer home for many Mallorcans. The villa "Mateu" gives an impressive welcome, as a shining white cube: it stands out architecturally from the copious Mallorcan domiciles and is just right for holidaymakers who appreciate sleek, linear design. Even the small barbecue follows this style. Despite its proximity to other buildings, you can enjoy absolute peace and privacy here, even by the pool, which is diagonally adjacent to the villa and has enough space to dream on a lounger under palm trees on the terrace. Cars can be safely parked on the other side. It is also possible to wake up in the morning and walk down to the water while everything is still. Feelings of joy by the sea are included.

High-end aesthetics and functionality continue the style in the interior of the villa. Previous guests have noted the elegance, clarity, and cleanliness. No wonder: The white interior is accented with brilliant red features and leaves a bright impression, making it almost hard to put the fully equipped modern kitchen to use. The minimalist living room with a comfortable couch and direct access to the terrace is joined by a guest toilet and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer on the ground floor. The guest rooms have their own area upstairs. Mahogany exudes warmth and cosiness there. "Mateu" is ideal for six persons. There is also an outdoor shower, and, of course, the sea!

If you appreciate individualism and nature but don't want to do without amenities, Betlem will find a place in your heart with its surrounding countryside and flocks of sheep, as will Colònia de Sant Pere with its pretty harbour promenade. From the large terrace of the highly recommended restaurant Casablanca, just a short walk from the villa, the view of across the sea extends all the way to Cape Formentor. Longer and more challenging hikes can be started from the "Ermita de Betlem" hermitage, to destinations including Puig de Ferrutx and Puig de sa Tudosa. Or pay a visit to the rocky Punta d‘es Caló, with the rocky bay of Sa Platjola in a bird sanctuary, then turn back at sunset. Mallorca is most beautiful where those who love hustle and bustle never come and don't want to!
