Description

Nestled close to Puglia's beautiful coastline, this stunning villa is in an ideal location for people who love to be close to the sea as well as enjoy the great amenities and huge grounds of this amazing home.

Designed across one floor, the casa feels spacious and airy with large windows that flood the rooms with light. Arch doorways with large wooden doors give the home a sense of grandeur, complimented by the subtle decor and traditional Italian design. Stylish furniture creates a modern look while comfortable sofas ensure it feels like a home away from home. The fully-equipped open-plan kitchen has its own breakfast bar where you can enjoy a bite to eat or chat to the chef of the house with a glass of cool Italian white wine.

Outside in the huge grounds, the private u-shaped swimming pool, complete with its own slide and diving board, is perfect for cooling down on a hot day. Surrounded by palm trees, umbrellas, and deck chairs, it's a great place to chill out in the sun. Relax in the villa's private sauna after playing a game on the tennis court. Challenge your loved ones to a game of table tennis under the terrace and see who comes out on top. The large garden is fenced off by bushes, making it ideal for little ones to have fun running about in.

There is a handful of summer trattorias by the coast that you can walk to or join the locals and head to Taviano, a 15-minute drive away, to enjoy traditional Puglian cuisine served by passionate chefs known for creating delicious masterpieces out of fresh ingredients.

Puglia's stunning coast is just a five-minute walk away where locals swim from the rocks or head to a beach within a five-minute drive. The clear blue waters of the Ionian sea are perfect for snorkelling, allowing you to spot the colourful fish that make it their home. Other wonderful places to visit across this region include Marina di Pescoluse, one of the most beautiful beaches in southern Italy as well as beautiful towns such as Lecce and the old island of Gallipoli with its magical setting.

#### Location
In Italy's heel, in the glorious Salento region, Villa Prelude is situated just a five-minute walk (600m) from the coastline. Here you can hike across the shore discovering different coves and view points and join the locals swimming from the rocks or enjoying picnics looking over the crystal clear sea. The nearest beach (2km) is just a five-minute drive away or you can cycle there with the free bikes provided by the villa. There are also many glorious sandy beaches within a 10-15 minute drive.

The local town is just a five-minute drive away where you can enjoy local restaurants, shops and cafes and admire its pretty squares and historic churches. A little further afield is Taviano, known for its excellent restaurants which are loved by locals.

Travel slightly further afield to a beach renowned for being the Maldives of Italy – Marina di Pescoluse (22km). Its white sands and clear blue water has made it a popular destination for tourists; rent a sunbed and bask in the sun or spot sea creatures snorkelling in the ocean. Visit one of the many beachside cafes where you can order an Italian coffee or freshly-pressed juice to enjoy while gazing out at the sea.

Take the hour drive to Lecce (60km) for a day full of shopping and sightseeing. The city is filled with different shops – from trendy, high-street stores to market stalls – where you can treat yourself to something special. An ancient Roman amphitheater called Centro Storico sits in the center of these shops. You'll be bewildered by the contrast between the modern stores and the old ruins that you can walk around.

There are many other hidden villages to explore both inland and across the coast as well as fascinating towns including Specchia (30km), one of Italy's prettiest towns and the old island town of Galipoli to the north (25km).

In this glorious region in the heel of Italy, with the Ionian Sea on one side and Adriatic on the other, there are miles of golden sandy beaches and stunning rocky coves to explore. Thanks to its renowned olive oil production, the region is covered with stretches of olive groves and centuries-old farmland. This, combined with white-washed towns and hundreds of kilometers of Mediterranean coastline, makes Puglia a top destination for holiday makers.
