Quinta do Lorenzo is a modern, contemporary villa with 3 bedrooms, sleeping up to 8 guests in the tranquil, pretty village of Aldeia do Meco, 2.4km from Bicas Beach, 3km from the beautiful Meco Beach, 13km from Sesimbra and 40km from Lisbon. Quinta do Lorenzo and the villa next door, Casa do Loren, can be booked together to accommodate up to 16 guests.

The tiny village of Aldeia do Meco is known for its delicious seafood restaurants, the gorgeous, unspoilt beach and its mesmerising sunsets. The stunning Lagoa de Albufeira is a beach-flanked lagoon popular with windsurfers and stand-up paddleboarders. The pretty village of Alfarim is very close by with a good range of shops, a bakery, butcher, bank, supermarkets and cafes. The vibrant, friendly, cosmopolitan city of Lisbon is just a short drive away.

The comfortable living and dining room is open-plan with direct access to the lovely terrace and pool. The galley kitchen is modern and fully equipped. Also on the ground floor, are two smart and spacious double bedrooms with double beds, plenty of storage and a lovely well-maintained bathroom to share.

A modern staircase leads you upstairs to the third bedroom and a bathroom. The double bed is comprised of two mattresses and there are a further two mattresses in drawers under the bed so in total this room can sleep up to 4 guests. Possibly you would use this room for a family with two small children. As the bedroom is in the roof space, the ceilings are sloping. It is a fun room but not necessarily ideal for 4 adults.

The outdoor spaces of Quinta do Lorenzo are wonderful. There is a manicured lawn, private heated 12m x 4m pool, a fabulous terrace with sun loungers and lounge furniture as well as a wind-protected courtyard with alfresco dining for 8 guests and a barbecue.
Quinta do Lorenzo sits next to our other property Casa do Loren, which sleeps up to 8 guests between 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each property can be rented individually, but the villas may also work well for larger groups looking to stay together while maintaining individual privacy.

#### Location
Quinta do Lorenzo is situated in the delightful, tranquil village of Aldeia do Meco, close to shops, bars, restaurants, the wonderful Serra da Arrabida National Park and fabulous beaches. Biscas Beach is closest to the villa. A lovely raised boardwalk takes you to the golden sands. The beach is popular with surfers and also nudists. After Biscas comes to a rugged coastline that draws the landscape up to the majestic Cabo Espichel with its stunning views. There are some fantastic walks along the cliffs towards Sesimbra. You will find the famous dinosaur footprints as well as the sanctuary and lighthouse. Meco Beach is in the other direction, 3km from the villa. The gorgeous sandy beach is backed with cliffs and fragrant pine forest and has a lovely beach bar. There is an annual frisbee competition as well as other events.

Sesimbra is adored by the Portuguese and is famed for its freshly cooked seafood and pristine coastline. It is a bustling but welcoming resort town which has retained its character and heritage. The family-run Marisqueira restaurants are buzzy and fabulous. The lovely sandy beach extends around the entire Sesimbra bay. There are lovely panoramic views from the battlements of the Castelo de Sesimbra. You can explore the wonderful coastline by kayak, boat tour or dolphin watch tour.

Lisbon is only a 30-minute drive from the villa. Seven cinematic hillsides overlook the Rio Tejo and cradle this very friendly city. Lisbon is extremely attractive with pretty azulejos on the walls, charming old fashioned trams, many fantastic restaurants and bars, iconic markets such as the Feira da Ladra flea market and wide squares surrounded with bars. The Elevador da Bica tram connects Largo do Calhariz to Rua de Sao Paulo and is the most photographed in Lisbon. Belem can be reached by tram and is famous for its delicious pastel de nata as well as its stunning monastery and botanic gardens. Lisbon is blessed with a glorious year-round climate as well as its rich history and buzzing nightlife. The areas of Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto, Alfama and the Avenida da Liberdade are all popular with tourists. Alfama is an ancient and characterful district with atmospheric, narrow, steep streets. From Lisbon, you can also reach and explore the sandy Cascais-Estoril coastline.
