Description

‘Disgwylfa’, the first cottage in a terrace of four, sits high on the Lleyn Peninsula, overlooking the picturesque village of Sarn Mellteyrn, where there is a pub which serves food, a well-stocked village shop and a petrol station with store. There is also a recreation ground for the children to play. The cottage commands beautiful views over the hills and mountains of Garn Fadryn and the Rivals beyond. It is equidistant from the magnificent beaches and walks of Abersoch, Aberdaron, Nefyn and the market town of Pwllheli. Whistling Sands (Porth Oer) is just 4 miles away and Hell's Mouth 3 miles. There are golf courses at Abersoch, Nefyn and Pwllheli and the famous steam mountain railways at Porthmadoc.

‘Disgwylfa’ is centrally heated and has a log burner. The kitchen is well equipped with a ceramic hob, fan oven, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer etc. There is a waste disposal unit in the sink for food scraps but no bones please! Upstairs the bathroom has a bath, with electric shower over, lavatory and wash basin. There are two large double bedrooms with a double bed in one and a child’s cot bed. The other bedroom has two single beds, a folding bed and an en suite shower room. Each bed is provided with a duvet and pillows – all you need to bring are the bed sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and your linen. Please bring your preferred bedding for the cot bed.

The large traditional sitting room has a log burner, Freesat television, pine dining table and chairs, two settees and armchairs. The house is well equipped to a high standard, leaving you to bring just your linen. The French doors, which are the entrance, open onto a stepped patio. To lock the door, close the door as normal and then lift the handle upwards first, before attempting to turn the key – this brings the bolts into place. The small, stepped patio with table and chairs is ideal for evening barbecues.

There is car parking space for two cars only. Your hot water is supplied FREE and is NOT controlled by the central heating boiler. We ask for £20 per week for electricity (or £5 per day for weekend bookings) which you should add to your rental fee when you make your payment. We respectfully ask that if you use the central heating for more than 1½ hours morning and evening you leave extra payment of £5 per hour when you vacate the cottage. In this way we try to keep the rental as low as possible. ‘Disgwylfa’ is strictly a non-smoking cottage.

The cottage is cosy and comfortable and we hope that when you stay there, you will also find that to be so. The one thing we ask is that you please leave the cottage in the same clean state that you found it. Please do not arrive before 3.00pm on your day of arrival and leave by 10.30am on your day of departure. If you require further information or wish to book at any time, please phone or email.
