This spacious holiday home with private garden is located in the Maremma countryside, 5 km from the town of Gavorrano and only 10 km from the beautiful sea of the Gulf of Follonica. The house is on two floors and has large and pleasant rooms: on ground floor there are a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a large living room, from which you can access the beautiful covered terrace, equipped for your al fresco meals. Here you can relax, read your favorite book, watch the children playing in the garden or engage in a table football match. On 1st floor there are the two bedrooms, each with double and single bed and the second bathroom. Nearby Gavorrano, once a very important mining center has the largest pyrite mine in Europe and is therefore a very interesting destination! Plan a trip to the Parco Minerario Naturalistico di Gavorrano, with its two different mining areas and nature trails, several kilometers of tunnels and mining villages. Here you will learn a lot about the way of life of the inhabitants and mining workers and also about the pyrite processing. Within the mining park there is also a theater called "Teatro delle Rocce", which was obtained from an old limestone quarry. Theatrical performances, concerts, dance shows, congresses, art events and major events are held here in summer. In the villages and in the countryside there are many restaurants and trattorias offering exquisite Tuscan specialties. In this area of Tuscany you will find delicious wild boar dishes as well as fresh fish sourced directly from the nearby coast. For your days on the beach, we recommend Follonica with its wide sandy beaches and well-organized bathing establishments that are ideal for families with children. Other beautiful beaches and coves are: Cala Violina (17 km), the beautiful Gulf of Baratti (40 km) and Calamoresca (45 km) in the Gulf of Piombino. History lovers should not miss the ancient city of Massa Marittima, Castiglione della Pescaia and its majestic castle (29 km), as well as the Etruscan cities such as Vetulonia (17 km) with its necropolis, the remains of the Etruscan city walls and the archaeological city museum, or Populonia (about 39 km) with its beautiful old town, castle and archaeological sites. Nature and hiking fans will certainly want explore the 100 km² Maremma Natural Park, where guided and non-guided tours are offered, which vary according to the season, duration and difficulty and can be covered on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback.
