THE APARTMENT:
Sleeps 2/3.1 bedroom apartment with a charming kitchen / living room with a double sofa bed, a large double bedroom and a refined shower room, all finished in traditional country Italian style.The bedroom has two single beds which can be converted to a double bed and bedside tables with lamps.There is also a large antique wardrobe and chest of drawers.The floor is original terracotta and the ceiling beams are chestnut.Room overlooks pool.The bathroom consists of a shower, bidet, washbasin and toilet.The shower is finished with Italian mosaic tiles, and the floor is original terracotta.This room also has original chestnut beams.All windows and doors are equipped with mosquito nets.There is an electric oven with a gas hob. The kitchen also has a fridge/freezer, microwave. The traditional kitchen also has an open fireplace, is enhanced by a large sink carved from a single block of stone. There is a washing machine available for us.Drying rack for drying clothes, broom and mop to clean floors, iron and ironing board, detergents.There is a living room/kitchen diner which has a double sofa bed, an armchair with an occasional table. There is a TV and DVD player and additional lamps for reading This room also contains a dining table with four chairs and an antique crockery cupboard.There is a small hallway which connects the bedroom and bathroom which has a cupboard for cleaning utensils and also holds the boiler.Room fans.All linen is provided (sheets, towels,tea towels). Linen is changed after every client and every week for guests who remain for more than a week. The apartment is cleaned after every guest. Washing linen & final cleaning are included the weekly price.
OUTSIDE::
the swimming- pool (12 x 4 meters) is shared only with us when we are present and is opened from June until late September. In the garden near swimming pool there is a gazebo with iron coloured table and iron chairs for eating and barbecue. Around swimming-pool there are comfortable sunloungers. Comfortable chairs are available for those who want to read or relax under the shade of trees. The accommodation forms the ground floor of a beautiful stone country house dating from the 1800's but with all modern comforts. The property, on top of a hill, is enriched with a large mature garden with beautiful swimming pool set amidst lovely scenery of hills, medieval castles, lakes and rivers. The beloved garden thanks us with a magnificent production of flower: among all the many varieties of roses and peonies.The wood that we planted conteins native tree species such as oaks and holm oaks, fragrant trees such as linden and many others. : from March until Otober bloom fairs and festivals anywhere with good food, local products and spread the notes of the music :it's time to arrive, we wait for you. At your disposal you have two bikes to discover greenways along rivers and through fields and small medieval villages on the hills around our old farmhouse.Marsciano has supermarkets, banks, cinema, beauty salons and restaurants serving traditional Umbrian food.
SURROUNDINGS:
The first Sunday of each month in the village of Campello on Clitunno river has an antique market of the most beautiful and richest of the Central Italy,located just 40 minutes driving peacefully from the apartment. Using the same time you will be in Bevagna where every 3rd Sunday of the month there is a market in the streets of the Etruscan city. Water sports at lake Trasimeno: the lake Trasimeno is the fourth largest lake in Italy within a 20 min. drive from your apartment. A popular pastime is to take a small ferry to one of its islands for lunch. For the more active,the lake offers a variety of water sport, such as sailing, wind-surfing and diving. May 15 in Gubbio, a town where lived S. Francesco each year repeats the extraordinary FESTIVAL of CERI, which attracts an international audience. We are just on the 'wine route of the Song', a vast area full of vineyards and companies who sell it.Some Companies invite you to visit their cellars and taste their wines for free:I want to remember a wine for everyone, the magnificent red Sagrantino of Montefalco!Do not miss a visit to San Gemini, one of the most beautiful medieval villages of Italy, full of craft shops and a church of the twelfth century, a superb bell tower and a 360 degree panorama of the Umbrian hills.Sangemini is also the village of the same named mineral water and nearby ruins of the ancient Roman city of Carsulae.In July two great cultural and entertainment events: the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia and Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto.And Civita di Bagnoregio, the dying city.And after more and more to see in person.20 minutes from Perugia golf club.
GOLF:
The Perugia Golf Club is located just 6 km from the center of the Etruscan city of Perugia. The field is a gently undulating par 72, the core of which dates from the late fifties. The club house is made from an old lime kiln, 1921, of which retains the imperious towers, guarding the path reminiscent of the English fields. The driving range, enriched by the inclusion of three-hole executive par 3, is made of laminated wood structure in a modern, welcoming the guests just inside the gate. An excellent restaurant, where you can taste typical Umbrian dishes in a pleasant atmosphere, complete the services available to members and guests.
