Description

Charming tradition and modern convenience - this property contains a unique blend of the two, ensuring a feeling of well-being combined with an island atmosphere. Simply turn left into the entrance just before the roundabout to the south of Can Picafort, and there is the house, with its inviting and lovely reception area arousing your curiosity to explore further. It is located in a rural, sparsely populated area, and literally only a few minutes from the beach. But if you have choose to stay home on a hot day, the 9 m pool at the side of the house will prove wonderfully refreshing. Tiled with blue mosaic tiles, it can be accessed via steps, and slopes down to a comfortable 2 m depth. It is also securely fenced off for your children's safety.
The surrounding area is provided with shade from cypresses and some mature fig trees, creating a cosy outdoor atmosphere while the lawn offers plenty of space to lie in the sun or let the children play. The house has one covered and one open terrace. The open terrace faces the pool, the covered terrace offers the perfect place for shared meals or simply a drink at any time of day. A brick-built BBQ is also available on the estate; if you visit one of the surrounding markets during the day, you can stock up on fresh regional specialities to savour later as they sizzle in your own garden. The friendly owners live next door to the villa on the same estate, but have their own drive, so you can enjoy your privacy while having a contact person close at hand in case of questions or concerns.

A light interior, characterised by warm and harmonious colours, creates an immediate sense of well-being; you will want to move in and make yourselves at home straight away! The Mediterranean tiled floors and the exposed beam and clay brick ceilings create an original and traditional backdrop for this contemporary, tasteful and cleverly arranged interior. The spacious living/dining room is furnished with comfortable armchairs and a large dining table for tasteful indoor dining. A wood-burning stove provides extra cosiness when needed; stereo system, TV and DVD player are available, as well as wireless internet connection for a wide range of media entertainment. Next to the living area is the high-quality, fully-equipped modern kitchen, where you will find everything for an independent self-catering holiday, including a Nespresso and filter coffee machine for your early morning hot drink on the terrace. Three air-conditioned bedrooms furnished in individual and striking styles will be your setting for relaxing nights; a bathroom with shower and one with bathtub and bidet complete the picture.

The old harbour of Can Picafort is situated in the centre of the Bay of Alcúdia, boasting an impressive 17 km of beach
and is just a two minute drive away from the villa. You will find bars and restaurants here, along with a vibrant nightlife in the local night clubs. The villa is conveniently situated near to the country road leading straight into the town, making transport links particularly convenient, and scenic places further into the island's interior easy to reach. Travelling in various directions will quickly bring you to other beaches such as Playa de Muro or Son Baulo.
