Description

The cozy, raised cottage, is well appointed with updated furnishings. Enjoy a 360 degree wraparound deck/covered porch with great views of the Oak Island Lighthouse, the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, town of Southport, and the Cape Fear River. The deck and porch are completely enclosed making it a great place for your 4 legged family member to safely hang out.
If you have a “little” family member, a booster seat is provided for your convenience. The cottage is just across the street from a beach access walkway, so only a minute’s walk is required to get on the sand. Paradise Found is the 7th house past the Oak Island Lighthouse, and with no public parking allowed on this end of the island, only residents and their guests have access to the beach.
After a day on the beach, you can relax on the deck and then prepare dinner in the full kitchen or on the gas grill. A teak dining table and chairs for outdoor dining are located on the covered porch. At any time, feel free to grab a cold drink, sit in one of the comfortable chairs and watch the lights come on across the waterway in Southport.
Oak Island offers two fishing piers, two public marinas, three boat/canoe ramps, bike paths, and canoe trails. Several grocery stores, multiple seafood markets, cafes, bars and restaurants are also on the island and within a few minutes’ drive. Oak Island Golf Club is less than two miles down Caswell Beach Road.
Across the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, you’ll find the town of Southport. Southport is a charming southern coastal community with beautiful live oaks, a waterfront park, historic homes, a public arts center, excellent restaurants, galleries, and shops. You can also take a ferry ride to Bald Head Island for the day or an auto ferry to Fort Fisher Aquarium. Downtown historic Wilmington is a short drive from the aquarium.
