The car-free holiday park Les Collines de Ste Féréole is surrounded by the great outdoors. The park sits at the edge of Saulières forest, about 10 km from Brive-la-Gaillarde, a vibrant medieval town in the beautiful department of Corrèze. The holiday park has been built with respect for nature. It has been designated an 'Eco' sustainable and environmentally friendly park. This entails that the least possible amount of water is used, waste gets recycled and the park makes use of environmentally friendly products. The outdoor swimming pool is heated. If you're looking for an active and athletic holiday then you've come to the right place. But plenty of thought has been given to relaxation as well! The park has tennis courts (both indoor and outdoor), various athletic fields and a playground for young children. Facials and body treatments are available year round (for a fee) and there is a small bar at the reception. A variety of tranquil activities in nature are organised as well dure Easter and the summer holidays, such as: archery, horseback riding, fishing for crawfish, walks in nature. Every Thursday in July and August there is a small market near the park, offering wonderful local products and souvenirs. There is also a market in Brive-la-Gaillarde every Saturday and various festivals are held there each year. There is a recreation centre/kids club next to the park, open to children from 3 to 17 years old. Activities include crafts, sport and games as well as cooking workshops and cinema evenings. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday during July and August. Additional child care is offered outside these hours as well (available on request and for a fee). Free of charge. There is fishing near the park (catch and release only) and crayfishing excursions are organised from the park. In addition to donkey rides, you can also go horseback riding (5 km). Or how about tackling a tree climbing course at 'Parc d'accrobranche Wizziti' (10 km), golfing (12 km) or hitting the Dordogne river for some canoeing or kayaking (50 km). There are lots of attractions in the surrounding area, such as 'les plans de Travassac' stone quarry (3 km), the medieval villages of Donzenac (7 km) and Turenne with its château (25 km) where medieval festivals are held each year. The reception will be glad to inform you about other local celebrations. A unique destination is the medieval village of Collonges la Rouge (28 km), built entirely of red sandstone. Other options include daytrips to renowned cities such as Sarlat and Rocamadour (70 km). This is the ideal holiday park both for families and for couples, a peaceful oasis in the wilderness.

Les Collines de Ste Féréole offers 25 modern holiday houses with WiFi. They are spread across four hectares of hilly countryside with an open view of Bassin de Brive lake. The houses are nestled in the heart of the hill, keeping them nice and cool in summer and pleasantly warm in winter. There are three different kinds of houses: a 2-person one-bedroom (FR-19270-08), a 4-6 person two-bedroom (FR-19270-09) and a 6-8 person two-bedroom that has two bathrooms (FR-19270-10). The houses are constructed of raw concrete in a minimalist style with green roofs. The furnishings are modern. All houses have large windows and a private terrace with garden furniture. The beds are made on your arrival. Cars are parked at the central car park.

Specifics

• The swimming pool is open from mid-June to late September (depending on the weather). An electric barbecue grill can be hired for 12 euros per week (available on request). Bread delivery service is only available in summer.
