The charm of a true country lane, the cottage is close to wineries, artisan produce, the Warburton Rail Trail, as well as walking distance to the local shops.

The modern and fully equipped kitchen is perfect for that 'stay in' home cooked meal;

Thorough cleaning after each guest, including disinfecting all surfaces in every room, all sheets, quilt covers and towels are laundered, sanitised and bedding pressed. The entire house is cleaned after each guest, ready for your stay.

Bird feeders front and back (bird seed provided) so you can enjoy the antics and delight of the many birds while sitting on the secluded back deck or the front porch. There are so many beautiful birds here, and not just the bright coloured ones. Who will you spot?

The established vegetable gardens offer seasonal produce for your use while at Bird Hill and the kitchen garden offers ready herbs to enhance your food. Our aim is to have year round edible produce and perhaps inspire people to start growing their own food;

Are you in to cycling or walking? The Warburton Rail Trail is just 1.4km to pick up the trail from Woori Yallock Station where there is a car park, a playground and some amenities. This is the halfway point of the Trail;

Being amongst farming properties and in a rural setting, the neighbours animals are often at the fence line wanting some attention;

Close to Warburton Highway, Bird Hill is perfectly situated to explore all of the Yarra Valley, being central to Warburton, Healesville and the Dandenong Ranges. Find those quirky shops, boutique wineries and growers of local produce and discover the hidden delights of the area;

There is a bus service along the Warburton highway, that operates early till late, 7 days a week and goes to or from Warburton to Lilydale or Chirnside Park. There is a train at Lilydale, so you could in fact catch public transport all the way to Bird Hill if you wished to reduce your carbon footprint even more, as the bus stop is easy walking distance to Bird Hill.

If you like Aussie rules football, you can watch quality footy matches in Winter with the AFL Yarra Ranges teams battling it out. (Woori Tigers are a Div. 1 team). Cricket is also played there in Summer;
