Description

Fresh flowers will greet you and local art adorns the walls in this beautiful mother-in-law cottage. Built in 1900 the cottage has been newly updated, maintaining the charm of an older home, while providing modern amenities for convenience. The new high quality queen mattress in the bedroom provides a comfortable night's sleep on soft sheets. The new sofa sleeper also has a thick upgraded mattress for additional guests. A blow up mattress can accommodate your 5th traveler or teenager that refuses to share a bed with his/her sibling! The cottage has a washer and dryer, especially convenient for those who have been on the road a while or play really hard! Kitchen includes a new dishwasher, microwave and a new gas stove for meals in. Locally roasted coffee for the coffee maker is a perk! Shower or soak in the antique clawfoot tub. Close to Penrose Main hospital and the Colorado College, and a nice stroll or bike ride into the downtown area. Besides being a welcoming and relaxing place to stay, this cottage also has an attached working artist's studio. If you have time during your stay, you can even book a class to play with the ancient medium of encaustics, the melting and fusing of pigments and beeswax! The cottage is tucked behind the older residence built in 1895, yet offers privacy amongst the beautiful gardens and sitting area you may enjoy. Off street parking.
