Description
Go for a romantic stay in this former dovecote. This atypical house was carefully renovated in the winter of 2021 (roof insulation and installation of insect screens in the bedroom on the top floor), while of course retaining all its authentic features. This building, completely renovated on the inside, is equipped with all comforts. The house has two floors, with the bedroom at the top, the living room on the first floor and the kitchen on the ground floor. The furnishing is very neat. The dovecote is surrounded by the beautiful nature that the Dordogne has to offer. Birds, deer and sometimes wild boar can be found on the domain. Enjoy your breakfast on the outside terrace, before visiting the beautiful surroundings of the Dordogne. You are only a few kilometres away from the main attractions of this area, known for its castles, caves and medieval towns. In particular, do not miss the towns of Sarlat (25 km), Domme (21 km) or La Roque Gageac (18 km). To name a few, the castles of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle (13 km), Commarque (25 km) or Beynac-et-Cazenac (14 km) are the must-sees of the region, but there are many more. Golf enthusiasts will find the nearest course at the bottom of the hill (1 km). For some refreshment, you can rent canoes in Siorac-en-Périgord (5 km) and take a walk along the Dordogne River. You can also go swimming in the lake of Tamniès (34 km). A bit further by car, but certainly worthwhile, is a visit to the Lascaux IV museum (Montignac, 52.6 km).
