Description

Driving through the gates of The Kinloch Club, you'll meander your way up to Dunalistair House where you will discover one of New Zealand's premium award winning holiday homes.

An architectural delight, the home offers cedar and stone features, 4 large super king bedrooms (2 in each wing and ALL with ensuites) and a large open plan pavilion living area with commanding position alongside the top ranked Kinloch Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature course. Top this with an exquisite countryside view and Lake Taupo in the distance, and you will immediately recognise you have found one of New Zealand's most incredible locations for a family holiday or retreat.

The home is designed by award winning Kiwi architect, Brendon Gordon. A brief to create a timeless piece of architecture has been achieved by using schist stone and cedar cladding, inside and out - creating a unique indoor / outdoor flow to the home. Unique interior finishes also compliment the luxurious, yet understated presentation of the home.

All modern conveniences are to be expected, along with complimentary Wifi during your stay.

The kitchen offers all utilities and condiments required including a microwave, double fridge / freezer, wine cooler, coffee machine and also complimentary use of the house BBQ. A solid wood dining-table and feature fire-place surrounded by natural stone, create a unique ambiance that will relax even the most active of families!

There are also plenty of games for the kids if need be and a media room with TV / Cable / Netflix if required.

Taupo is a hot-spot activity destination, being known for its outdoor lifestyle and "energy". With the town of Taupo only a 15 minute drive away, ample shops / cafes and restaurants are an easy visit. The village of Kinloch itself is delightful and offers fantastic walking tracks, mountain biking tracks, a fantastic marina, along with three restaurants and general supplies.

The owners (Alistair and Kirsty) offer advice as they have worked in the tourism industry in the region for over 20 years. Once you initiate a booking enquiry, they are happy to share with you their compendium of activities along with all the friendly advice you need to ensure you make the most of your holiday. They also own their own private guiding business, Taupo Private Tours and Transfers, with a fleet of luxury Mercedes vehicles, so if driving is not an option for you, allow Alistair to offer a driver / guide for the duration of your stay.
