Welcome to Le Chalet Apres!
Our sunny West Vail townhome was recently updated and offers guests a casual and cozy yet well appointed place to relax and recharge with family or friends in between enjoying everything else Vail has to offer. The decor reflects a classic alpine-chic vibe inspired by travels skiing the Alps and unwinding at apres over fondue by fireplaces. Conveniently located a few minutes walk to the free Vail bus to the slopes... enjoy "living like a local.”
THE SPACE:
You’ll have a private exterior entrance to the unit up a flight of stairs next to the covered carport. It consists of the two upper floors of a 3 story structure.
The lower floor of the unit consists of the 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and the top boasts a vaulted natural pine beam ceiling with, open floor plan living/dining room and kitchen, a “real” fireplace, scenic views and (lots!) of natural sunlight. The living area has a new 75” Roku TV and each of the 3 bedrooms have their own new TVs as well. The unit is 1 of 12 in our HOA among 3 buildings.
We recently bought and updated our new vacation home with high end touches throughout (furnishings, kitchenware, mattresses, bedding, pillows, towels, etc). And as avid travelers who regularly stay at Airbnbs, we’ve tried to be thoughtful in covering many of the details we’ve come to appreciate as guests.
THE LOCATION:
West Vail is one exit off 1-70 from Vail Village along the free Town of Vail bus route. It’s a local neighborhood with many vacation rentals within the town of Vail. Beaver Creek is a short drive west.
It’s where you’ll find Vail’s local grocery stores (Safeway and City Market), Vail’s best-stocked liquor store, a few fast casual and sit-down restaurants (non-fancy or pricey), Christy Sporting Goods, and an Ace hardware store all just .2 mi down the road a several minute walk or quick drive way. Super convenient if you run out of or suddenly realize you forgot something when packing! It’s also home to the Westside Cafe - a local’s favorite for breakfast/brunch and its infamous bacon Bloody Mary’s - which also serves dinner.
But perhaps the best thing about West Vail is that it gets late afternoon sun and sunset views in contrast to the shadow effect in eastern parts of town. We benefit all the more so being on a knoll with lots of windows and abundant natural light in the main common area.
