Come see the beautiful smoky mountain ranges from the comfort of our lovely cottage. The view can be seen from most anywhere in the house.

COTTAGE SETUP:
You won't find a more picturesque location in Maggie Valley. 3 bedrooms (2 Kings, 1 Queen) 3 bath, 1500 sq ft cottage style home, with a spacious boutique-style efficiency suite on the lower level. Our cottage home has gone through some major transformations through the years. We’ve recently added our own upgrades to include beautiful decor with new furnishings, beds, linens and plush amenities. The lower level suite is like a 2 person efficiency apt with a separate entrance. Steps lead down from the main level porch to its entrance.

GETTING AROUND:
Conveniently located just a bit up a hill in a safe and well maintained neighborhood with other cottages/homes. Roads are serviced in case of snow, so don't worry about getting around. We are not far from Maggie Valley festival grounds, Salty Dogs, Cabbage Rose, putt-putt, Joey’s Pancake, shops and other restaurants. 3 min drive to Tube World, 10 min to ski sloops, 35 min to Biltmore Village in Asheville, 1 hour to Dollywood, 25 min to Cherokee, Sylva, and 10 min to the quaint main street shopping/food district in Waynesville.

PARKING:
The carport driveway will fit 2 cars comfortably. There is a little bit of room for an additional vehicle, but it will be a tight fit. Parking on the grass in front of the house and across the road is strictly prohibited.

MAIN LEVEL:
The den and dining area is an open concept with up to date furnishings and decor. You’ll find a plethora of board games in the cabinets, and a gas fire place in the den for your comfort. The LR and all BR's are equipped with newly installed smart TV's.

PORCHES:
Sip your coffee from either porch while you take in the fresh mountain air - you’ll be delighted by the way the smoky clouds create new landscapes each and every day. The front/side porch has a small bistro style table for a morning breakfast. On the back porch, you’ll find a cozy privacy seating space with blankets, a gas grill and a gas fire pit.

KITCHEN:
Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook family meals. You’ll find fresh spices in the cabinets, wine glasses, toaster, coffee and shake maker, a mixer, with plenty of pots/pans and dishes. There’s also a small gas grill on the back porch.

AMENITIES:
We provide a 2-day supply of coffee/cream/sugar, paper towels, toilet paper, soaps/shampoo/conditioner/lotion and fresh clean towels and sheets.

SLEEPING QUARTERS:
Our cottage home sleeps six people comfortably. No additional guests are allowed. The main floor (accessed from carport just 2 steps up) has a master suite w/king bed and private bath. The main level guest bedroom also has a king size bed, with bath located in the hall. Our lower level is a cozy private space (accessed by 12 steps off of front porch) with a queen size bed, reclining couch, smart TV, full bath and a minimalistic kitchenette.

HEATING/COOLING:
There are 2 very efficient AC/Heat units in the home. The gas fireplace provides extra warmth. All of the bathrooms have original wall heaters for extra warmth.

ELK CROSSING:
Be on the lookout for a family of elk that frequent the yard and neighborhood, especially during the fall and winter months. For your safety, we ask that you keep your distance and admire them from the safety of the porch or in your vehicle. Wait for them to cross the road before proceeding. Neighborhood rules are strict about NOT feeding them!

COTTAGE QUIRKS:
Our sweet cottage is over 35 years old and has been renovated a few times. The floors may squeak with the change of weather conditions, and you may find other minor quirks. But we are confident you’ll be overwhelmed by her charm and will be ready to return.

COTTAGE RULES:
Our cottage is in a quaint and quiet neighborhood. Most of the neighborhood homes are occupied by retirees. We ask that you be mindfully respectful of their privacy, which translates to: NO PARTIES, NO LOUD MUSIC. Keep cars in driveway and off the grass or road. The neighborhood roads are one follow that direction to enter or exit.

NO SMOKING POLICY:
Our cottage is a smoke free home! We have a strict no smoking policy. You may stand and smoke on the porches, but please pick up cigarette butts and dispose of in a closed container. If the smell of smoke is detected in the home, you will be charged an additional $150 cleaning fee, and you’ll not be welcomed back. Thanks for your cooperation.

OUTDOOR CAMERA:
We have one outdoor camera on the front porch. It points toward the main road. We do not check the cameras unless we have reason to believe there’s a problem.

PETS:
Although we love our furry babies, we ask that you please make other arrangements for them. If you have a small dog that is crated, you may request permission from our co-host. If approved, there will be a $25 a night pet fee.
