Description

**COVID UPDATE**
Tamarind offers you and your party the unique opportunity to enjoy a safe, restful and luxurious Caribbean holiday even during the Covid pandemic.

Tamarind has been inspected by the Grenadian Ministry of Health, and is now a fully approved tourist accommodation. We will instruct all guests upon booking of government mandated safety requirements.

You will have access to the pool, the large property including private beach front where you can pass your vacation safely and while enjoying much of what the Caribbean has to offer. Groceries and meals can be delivered from the market and local restaurants. A private chef can be arranged if you prefer.

***
Tamarind House is located on the most South West end of the Island of Grenada, on Point Salines.
Entering the Tamarind gates, and winding up the driveway lined with colorful bougainvillea, tall palms and fruit trees, you are transported into the serene peace that is Caribbean life. Windward breezes carry the sweet sound of wind-chimes and the tropical fragrance of the ocean, cooling you as you enter the spacious and secluded Spanish-style home through arched doors into a walled open-air courtyard. You are at once struck by the breathtaking views of the glistening turquoise waters of Grenada -- a vista of the Caribbean Sea and from afar the bustling island capital of St. Georges across the bay.
This exceptional classic Caribbean villa comes with modern amenities, and 6 private bedrooms. All come complete with their own private en suite bathrooms, AC units, and ceiling fans –making this the perfect two family get-a-way or multiple couples retreat. It is also large enough for family reunions or celebrations with its large dining room and full gourmet kitchen, making it perfect for entertaining.
The house is divided into 2 wings for privacy and panoramic views of the ocean (Caribbean on one side, Atlantic on the other), and communal spaces for getting together in the kitchen, dining room, exercise room, separate TV room, patio, and veranda.
Also on the property is a full service studio cottage available --details of renting cottage not listed here, please inquire for additional info.
Over 2 acres of lush lawns and gardens create seclusion, and you have your own private path to the beach below.
The beach (Magazine Beach) is anchored on one end by one of the top restaurants on the island, The Aquarium, which conveniently offers rental chairs, beverages, and food to patrons of the beach. Magazine Beach is also one of the top snorkeling areas on the island, with Caribbean reefs just yards away from the shore (we provide all the necessary equipment).
A 10 minute drive by car; the closest shopping plaza has grocery, bank & other shopping just 3.5 miles away. Or you can go to he capital of the island, St. Georges, about 7-8 miles or a 20-25 minute drive. Visit the bustling spice market to barter for fresh nutmeg and spices from smiling local vendors. There are endless restaurants and activities, easily accessible by car or taxi. Among numerous experiences and activities-- Some might want to experience the local buses going in and out of the popular areas to town, or travel up 1,800 feet above sea level to the crater lake “Grand Etang”, which was once an active volcano and now a picturesque place to begin hikes on jungle paths or feed monkeys. There are also a number of botanical gardens and waterfalls, accessible by car, or hikes of various level of difficulty.
After a busy day exploring, discover one of many of the beautiful beaches to relax on and “lime” with some of the most friendly and welcoming people on earth. Grenada truly is a tropical paradise, with something for everyone: sunny beaches, beautiful waters, delicious cuisine, friendly locals willing to help, and lush jungle mountains. Come find out for yourself what makes it so special.
