The Lookout is a Luxury Ski-In Ski-Out (to down-hill and cross country ski trails) Timber Frame Chalet with Beautiful Mountain Views @ Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Our property features hardwood floors throughout with in-floor radiant heat, European-style open galley kitchen with Miele and Liebherr appliances and additional vegetable sink with garburator. Floor to ceiling windows showcasing a 270 degree view of the surrounding mountains and high vaulted wood ceilings throughout. This property is sure to please those seeking a quality vacation.
Three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, sleeps up to 12 (10 adults). Large private outdoor hot tub, unusually large soaker tub in Master Bedroom, HIGH SPEED INTERNET, pool table, small BBQ, wood stove, ski and snowboard equipment room with ski tuning table, sleds, laundry room, keyless entry with code, multiple entertainment areas, comfortable and welcoming layout.
The Master bedroom is a retreat in itself. Luxurious king size bed, sitting area, soaker tub for two, three-sided glass rain shower, bidet, double sinks, private balcony, lots of storage for clothes. Peaceful. Quiet. Secluded. Just go in, shut the door behind you, and forget the world.
The summers at KHMR offer gondola access ridge hiking. There's downhill mountain biking on the hill and cross country mountain biking near Cedar Lake (5 km down the hill) which has a (pretty extreme looking) rope swing but we have seen people risk it and live to tell... that's up to you. Other attractions include golfing, road cycling, river rafting, fishing, parasailing, grizzly bear refuge on the mountain and a near-by wolf refuge.
A handful of pubs, restaurants, and the general store are all within a five minute walk from The Lookout.
