Classed as one of the 'Most Beautiful Villages of France', Gordes is located in the Vaucluse area, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Luberon. Around 2000 people live in this village. Known as the tourist mecca, Gordes has a rich heritage in the protected region of Sénanque Abbey among the mill broths and the cellars of Saint-Firmin Palace. Elegant and welcoming Luberon country house ,A grand Provencal home in the Luberon near Gordes, with tennis court, fine views and a large pool, in a peaceful setting of 3 hectares (7 acres). The property sleeps 11 (including children) in the main house, plus 2 bedrooms in the gatehouse annexe, for a maximum of 14 people.

Living Rooms 
The living room opening out to the south-facing terrace.The house has elegant interiors and light volumes, with large openings and a spacious but cosy feel.
The main living room on the ground floor has sitting areas, a fireplace, and a dining table. Through 4 sets of French windows the room opens out to the terrace on two sides of the house.The living room faces south and is full of light.
The kitchen also opens out to the terrace with its shaded outdoor dining table and dramatic view over miles of countryside. The kitchen is equipped with 5-ring gas stove, double oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and Nespresso machine.

The drawing room (right and below) comes off the living room along one side of the house.
This room has another sitting area, a work-desk, card/games table, and a piano. There is also a well-stocked English library and plenty of board games for all ages.
On the garden level below the ground floor there is a third living room (below) and this one is for kids and TV. There are sofa, armchairs, day-beds, TV/DVD, Apple TV, games console, and lots of children's toys and games. There is a ping pong table too.

Bedrooms
In the main house there are 4 double bedrooms and one triple for up to 3 children. The lower ground floor of the gatehouse is an apartment with 3 more bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Maximum occupancy is 14.

On the first floor upstairs is the master bedroom (above) with a 1.8m/6ft-wide canopy bed. This is a corner room with great country views over to Gordes and Roussillon. The en suite has bath with overhead shower, basin and WC.

Bedroom 2 is a corner room with views, and 1.6m/5.25ft-wide bed.
Bedroom 3 and bedroom 4 with three single beds.
Bedroom 3 (above left) is also a corner room and has a 1.4m/4.6ft-wde bed. Bedroom 4 (above right) is a children's room with three single beds.

Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 share two bathrooms, each with bath and overhead shower, basin and WC.

On the garden level below the ground floor is bedroom 5 (above) which opens out through large patio doors to the garden. It has a 1.6m/5.25-wide bed and its bathroom has bath with overhead shower, basin and WC.

In the gatehouse is an apartment on the ground floor, with three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is also a sitting room with breakfast-making facilities.
The gatehouse annexe gives more independence, which can be welcome depending on the make-up of a group.
Each of the gatehouse bedrooms has a 1.6m/5.25ft-wide bed and they share two bathrooms with shower, basin and WC.

Garden
The house is in over 7 acres (3 ha) of land, including fruit orchard, woods and meadow, in the valley below Gordes.
The pool measures 12m x 6m and has gated access to the side of the house and on a lower level.
The pool house has plenty of comfortable seating, shower and WC as well as a sink and drinks fridge.

The tennis court is hardcourt and is on the other side of the house from the pool. Beyond the court is the fruit orchard.
The house has terraces and seating on different levels, with the main terrace on the raised ground floor level, with great views.

Outside the kitchen is the dining table (above) which is in full shade except for an early breakfast.
Steps from the upper terrace lead down to the lower terrace and lawn, and then there are steps down to the woods and meadow.
The house has gated entry and plentiful secure parking.
The house is in 7 acres, including woods.
On the top floor of the gatehouse by the entrance is the caretaker's house, and she can help with any problems or help needed during your stay. Babysitting and private chef can also be arranged at an additional cost.
