Barely an hour’s drive from Toronto, this charming waterfront cottage feels like a real escape. Nestled out on a point off a private lane, we just rebuilt ... now we have a contemporary 3 bedroom, open concept cottage with an amazing covered back deck. Great room and dining room with wood burning fireplace. Luxury bathroom and a cook's kitchen. Lake views are amazing. Located on the South-Eastern shore of Lake Simcoe you will witness sunsets so stunning you will think you are on the ocean. Watch the sun go down from the big picture window, or take a cocktail down to the deck and say cheers to the seagulls that come to dance at every sunset. Waves can get big and beautiful after a storm but most of the time the water is calm and kid-friendly.
The soft pebble beach starts off shallow and descends gradually, perfect for swimmers of all ages. The cottage itself is artfully decorated, with an open concept living room with fireplace & cathedral ceiling combined with the dining room over looking the with a large harvest table (comfortably seats 8) and every well appointed kitchen, amazing marble clad bathroom and 3 bedrooms. The master has a king bed, the other 2 have a double bed. There is also a small bunky down by the lake with bunk-beds , great for teens who need a bit of space!
Large screenTVs with Netflix access and ipod player. BBQ. Canoe & kayak. Hammock for summer reading. Basketball net. Multiple golf course within ten minutes drive. Casino Rama half an hour away. Simcoe one of Canada's best windsurfing/kitesurfing spots... our own 'Canadian Hole' ten minutes away!!
So close to the city you could even commute. Definitely close enough to invite guests up for the day and send them home!
10 minute drive to Beaverton for restaurants, shops, beer store & LCBO, and one of the oldest movie theatres in Ontario.

Strict 'no pets' policy in effect. No exceptions.

Kid friendly beach. Less than 6' deep up to approximately 25-30' from shore. 60' of private shore front. Soft pebble beach; just like Nice. Clean and clear water. No weeds. Water temperature is perfect for swimming. Big lake feel but very safe and accessible.

Windward side. Lake Simcoe is ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing. NEW THIS YEAR IS A STAND UP PADDLEBOARD GUESTS ARE FREE TO USE.

Very little immediate boat traffic. Great for canoes and kayaks.

Marina very nearby in Beaverton - 10 minutes away. Lake is ideal for both power and sail boats. Great fishing location.

Numerous golf course with 10-15 minutes. Local course within 2 minute drive.

Beaverton has an old fashioned movie theatre. Casino Rama is half an hour away in Orillia. Local farm for picking strawberries and raspberries in season. Lots of options for local produce nearby. The bakery in Argyle (15 minutes to the east) makes amazing pies.

Wonderful in all four seasons. Windsurf and boat in the summer. Skate and ice fish in the winter. Property is fully winterized (with furnace). Great at Christmas and New Years. Fall in Ontario is spectacular.
