The splendid Waccamaw Neck Bikeway runs right by it—12 miles of dedicated bike path running from Murrells Inlet to Pawleys Island (bike rentals are readily available). Within a few minutes’ drive, you can spend an afternoon exploring the pre-Revolutionary seaport town of Georgetown (to the south) or an evening strolling the restaurants, bars, and live music along Murrells Inlet’s Marshwalk (to the north). Easy day trips include the theaters and attractions of Myrtle Beach or the cobblestone streets of Charleston, known as the “holy city” and crown jewel of Lowcountry South Carolina.

Originally part of Woodville Plantation and later the site of a country store, the picturesque cottage is surrounded by live oaks, magnolias, azaleas, and camellias. Old heart pine floors, Persian carpets, and original shiplap walls create a cozy ambiance. Completely renovated kitchen and bathrooms sparkle with pristine modern fixtures and marble. The immaculate kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, flatware, pots, coffee pot. Two bedrooms offer a king-sized bed in each, luxury mattresses, and fine linens. One full bath (walk-in shower) and an additional powder room. Cable television, washer/dryer, and wireless internet are provided, and the cottage offers central heat and air.

Our personal concierge service can arrange for bike rentals and a refrigerator stocked to your specifications. Enjoy a vacation that is out of the ordinary in every way—one that you will long remember.

The cottage comes complete with the expected uneven floors and other “flaws” of a historic home. We like to think that’s part of its charm. However, it is not appropriate for the elderly or anyone with mobility issues.

We strictly prohibit smoking, pets, and children. However, we strongly encourage long walks on the beach, wine on the screened porch, and exploring the beauty and history of the Waccamaw Neck.
