Description

This superb holiday home with private pool and a large natural site is located in one of Roquebrun en Languedoc's nicest spots and only 50mns from Valras beach. You will be 30km from Béziers and 47km from Narbonne between Montpellier and Carcassone. This beautiful home boasts Mediterranean colours and a breathtaking view over vineyards, the village and the Orb river. Shops, restaurants & cafés are only a short walk away. The large living room's bay windows open onto the covered terrace where you will be able to lounge on one of the sun loungers. The cellar has a ping pong table for some entertainment and for those in search of quiet time, a comfortable sofa bed awaits you on the mezzanine for some reading time. The stunning, south facing pool has both steps and a lighting system. It can be heated on request and with an extra fee. The pool house is equipped with a shower, toilet and sink. After making a splash in the pool why not have a barbecue before ending the day playing French boules. This holiday home and its Mediterranean garden dotted with fruit trees like fig, olive, orange and lemon trees is truly a wonderful place to unwind. There is a shaded parking spot on the grounds. The picturesque Roquebrun village, also known as "le petit Nice" is renowned for its beauty, nestled among wooded hills and overlooking the Orb river and its pretty beaches. It is accessible by the Ceps bridge, a beautiful 19th Century stone bridge crossing the river and whose Medieval ruins stand along delightful paved streets with mimosa aromas when they flower in February. The "Mediterranean Garden" is worth a visit with its 400 different Mediterranean and exotic plant species. The Hameau de Ceps nearby is a great starting point if you are looking to go on a beautiful walk up along the impressive Gorges de l'Orb and onto Vieussan village. Other hikes include the Ayrolle track, the Sentiers de Pays, l'Esquirol and l'Arboussié. You may want to canoe down the village with stunning views over a renovated windmill, gardens along the riverbank and Saint Chinian's vineyards. The "Aqualand" rapids will spice up this fun activity for the whole family. The village is host to many traditional festivals as the Roquebrunais often gather to celebrate their local wine.
