The village: A very pretty little village perched on a peak. It takes its name from the Latin capra, the goat. Its narrow streets are grouped around the church surmounted by a wind cage. A belvedere allows you to enjoy an extraordinary view of the Plaine de Grasse. The beauty of the site marks the visitor: as such, the village particularly likes to recall the names of characters who have left their mark. The most famous is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944) who came here to spend his childhood vacation. His memory is cultivated with a well-deserved fervor. His mother ended her days there. But you also have Albert Camus who made several passages there between 1950 and 1953 or André Gide who stayed there, as in Nice and Vence (after his trip to Egypt, 1939-1940).
