Description

Anole is a 4-bedroom, 4 1/2-bath villa that is located in Cinnamon Bay, surrounded by St. John’s National Park and about 600 feet above the soft white sands of Cinnamon Beach. This is considered to be one of St. John’s finest neighborhoods and the homes in this upscale locality tend to be pricey and distinctive. Although there are other homes in the neighborhood, the privacy of Anole is superb and this setting is the very definition of a peaceful, quiet and away-from-it-all island hideaway. The view is absolutely gorgeous and includes Tobago and Little Tobago Islands, Jost Van Dyke, Tortola, and other islands floating on a sea that continuously changes colors throughout the day. Cinnamon Bay and Trunk Bay lie below you and offer excellent swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, wind surfing, and stress free relaxation on a world class beach. It's a 15 minute drive into or from Cruz Bay and the last 1/2 mile is a bumpy dirt road intended to discourage tourists from wandering into your very private and quiet neighborhood.

Anole is built on two levels. The great room and two bedrooms/baths, plus a half bath are on the upper level, and two more bedrooms/baths and the pool are on the lower level. You park on the upper level and as you enter the great room the first thing you see is the gorgeous view of Cinnamon Bay. The kitchen and interior dining are on the right side, while the living area occupies the left half of the great room. A tiled sundeck is off the great room, and exterior stairs off the sundeck lead to the pool and the lower bedrooms. The lower bedrooms also offer lots of privacy, with a covered deck located between them. The pool sits in a very private, lushly landscaped spot on the west (left) side of the house and can be accessed by stairs from the house or the entrance area.

The four oversize bedrooms (305 sq/ft) are all located to insure excellent privacy from each other. The upper level east (right) bedroom has a king bed while the other three bedrooms have twin beds that convert to kings. The two lower level bedrooms are accessed by exterior stairs from the upper deck or the pool deck. Each bedroom has a lovely 150 sq ft fully screened porch with wicker furniture, and each bedroom has a telephone and a tiled bath and shower.

The great room has a cathedral ceiling, handsome stonework, tiled floors, and a 30 x 8 foot wall of screened glass doors that offer marvelous views from everywhere in the room. The living area is furnished with comfortable wicker and rattan furniture, a cable TV/DVD, a stereo CD and wireless internet. The interior dining table and the dining table on the upper deck both seat 6-8. There is also a table and chairs on the pool deck.
The kitchen is in the rear of the great room but it also shares the gorgeous view. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher and microwave oven. In the back of the kitchen there is a pantry and a washer/dryer and a gas grill is on the upper deck.

Note: A 4 wheel drive vehicle is advisable for Anole. The Anole neighborhood roads are unpaved, and the road conditions vary dependent on the weather. The roads are not dangerous, but can be bumpy due to periods of heavy rainfall during rainy season.
