WELCOME TO CEDAR CREEK COTTAGE – A seaside cottage in a tranquil setting with an amazing cove for canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, and some of the best diving around.

THE LAYOUT

​​​​​​​If first impressions are important, you are in for a treat. As you pull up to the Cottage, the beautifully renovated cottage will already start giving you that holiday escape feeling. There is plenty of space and seating to lounge about in the living area and enjoy a good catch up. Here is where you will find the wood stove fireplace to keep you cozy when the temperatures drop. An open plan fully equipped kitchen complete with a large island and dining area with a large table that will comfortably seat 8 guests (8 max) completes this space. The master bedroom will have you dreaming away in the cozy Casper queen-sized bed. There is an en-suite and some gorgeous garden and creek views. The second bedroom also has a queen-sized bed and shares a bathroom with the third room complete with two twin beds. The last bedroom is located in the connecting one-bedroom suite, on the ground floor with a private entrance and features another queen-sized bed. There is also a mini kitchenette, separate bathroom, additional living area with TV for guests to enjoy on this level. The property includes free WiFi and Smart TV's to indulge in Netflix, Prime, Crave and Disney+ and more!

The garden is just beautiful and fantastic for the soul. The landscaped gardens stretch from the front of the home to the back. There is a 4 person seating area in the front yard, a bistro set on the porch and the back area has Muskoka chairs for lounging in the sundrenched lawn which then leads to a wooden bridge over the creek (please note: this creek can be fast running in the Winter). The back deck has also been set up with outdoor furniture for the warmer days and evenings. On the other side of the bridge, you will find a private fire pit area to gather around, roast marshmallows, and exchange stories. There is also a rock climb/path that leads to a higher point on the property we like to call the 'Grotto'. A peaceful area to enjoy your morning coffee! This is the perfect place to “get away from it all” surrounded by nature, wildlife, peace, and quiet. Kindly note that this is a very peaceful neighbourhood and there is a zero-tolerance policy for any noise. All guests must be respectful of neighbours. Quiet time is after 10 pm however we ask that guests are respectful of neighbours during all outdoor use of the property.

IN THE WINTER

In the winter snuggle up by the cozy wood stove fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa and indulge in that book you have had in your bag for months. Gather around the outdoor fire pit with your friends and gaze up at the stars. Head into town to discover some great shopping for local art & handcrafted goods, books, beads, and clothing. Throughout the Fall & Winter, Tuwanek Beach is a very popular dive site with some of the most amazing diving in North America. Throughout the year, there are renowned mountain bike trails and multiple golf courses around the area as well as the Gravity Downhill Bike Park only a short drive away.

IN THE SUMMER

In the summer you will have outdoor activities galore. Across the street, at Tuwanek beach is a great place to soak up the sun, play in the water and look for sea life such as crabs, seals and we have also seen the odd dolphin and pod of whales! The narrow inlets are perfect for watersports with calm waterways allowing for great kayak, canoe, and paddleboard adventures. If you are looking for a sandy beach, a short 5 min walk will land you at another beach cove area, perfect for the little ones to play all day! There are tons of hiking and biking trails in the area and the Village of Sechelt is a 10-minute drive away!

Guests must be 30 years of age to make a reservation and must provide ID at check-in unless prior approval has been given. Harmony Whistler retains the right to refuse access to any property if this condition has not been met and no refund will be provided. NO GROUPS.

Pets of any kind are not permitted in this home. There will be a fine of up to $500 for any pets or evidence of pets found in the units if permission has not been granted.

Prior to check-in, guests will be required to provide a credit card plus photo identification for a pre-authorization of $750. The credit card may be charged up to $750 after departure if the property is damaged, requires excessive cleaning, or if items are missing. The credit card provided must be in the name of the main guest.

Covid-19 Travel Restrictions*

If formal government travel restrictions or quarantine laws impact your reserved dates we will without penalty provide a credit for the full amount paid, to be applied to a future stay in any Harmony Whistler Vacation in any of our properties within 12-months of the initial check-in date. New reservations will be subject to availability, nightly rate, and minimum night's stay requirements.
