The town's most famous resident was Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes. He is commemorated by a statue that stands at the main crossroads in town. The town center with supermarkets, nightlife pubs, and restaurants rests at 500 m only and invites you to wander in the evenings. You can drive for an hour and reach the seaside for a pleasant day out. Crowborough Country Park is also a great tour option. The cottage has indoor heating. In the kitchen, you have every modern convenience to prepare meals of choice. Children can run around and play ball games on the lawn. A children's bed and a high chair are present. Parking is available. The airport is 46 km.
