Description

What is a Bach... (note Airconditioning to keep you warm or cool)

A "bach" also called a crib in the southern half of the South Island on New Zealand, is a small, often very modest holiday home or beach house.

Little River Bach is a modest yet comfortable holiday cottage for couples or small families, located adjacent to our sister property - River Oaks on the Mary - yet sufficiently removed to offer privacy. It overlooks the green fields of the neighbouring dairy farm, Kenilworth Bluff and fronts the Mary River (100m from the door).
The cottage is a rustically restored farm shed and furnished in country farm house style, with 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, lounge | dining | kitchenette and a deck with private garden. We have a small number of internal stairs, so not ideal for those who have difficulty with mobility, however the shower is an easy step in.
The Little River Bach makes for a great base to explore the Mary Valley, enjoy water pursuits on the river, visit the rainforests, waterfalls and Kenilworth Village.

Kenilworth is located just 20 minutes South West of Eumundi in the Noosa Hinterland and accessible by bitumen roadway. Travelling time from Brisbane is approximately 90 minutes.

This charming village, with a 1920's atmosphere, offers a selection of country stores, gift shops, an art gallery plus a cheese, yoghurt and ice cream factory and a children's playground to die for. The local area has much to offer and provides well for the bush walker with idyllic picnic spots, great opportunities for kayaking, horse riding, cycling and fishing.

Places to see within 30-40 minutes of Kenilworth include:
* Sunshine coast beaches (including Noosa)
* Maleny, Mapleton and Montville villages on the Blackall
Range
* Gheerulla, Mapleton and Condalilla Falls rainforest and waterfall walks
* Kenilworth State Forest and Baloomba Creek bushwalking
* Eumundi and Yandina Markets
