Ellesmere Farmhouse offers close access to incomparable beaches, walking and adventure sports. Direct access to Moruya State Forest with plenty of trails popular with horse, trail bike and mountain bike riders as well as walkers. Located 15 mins south of Moruya, with easy access off the Princes Highway. Great horse friendly beaches such as Bingie Dreaming Track are just a 10 minute drive. Nearby Tuross Head has safe and accessible beaches for children also great fish and chips at the wharf.
The house includes a large entertaining deck with BBQ, outdoor fire pit, and inground pool. Resident silky chickens and peacocks will keep you entertained and provide free eggs. Stable cat Hendrix is a big hit with the kids. Under cover parking for one car, plenty of outdoor space for extra vehicles. Your horses are welcome at Ellesmere and accommodated in a private paddock, stable and yards and you will have access to our indoor arena, show jumps and games equipment, wash bay, XC course and private trail ride. Dogs are welcome and enjoy a run on the beach at Tuross
Property and agistment manager is accommodated on the property in a self contained flat but is available to offer assistance.
Ellesmere is private and secluded away from the noisy tourist bustle yet only minutes from local villages of Tuross, Coila, Bodalla and Moruya. Moruya boasts boutique shops and local markets every week. We are 10 minutes from historic Bodalla, well know for lush dairy farms and home to the Bodalla Dairy Factory and Coila Lake is famous for prawning. Australia Rock and famous seal and penguin colonies are nearby - take a boat trip whale watching or visit historic Montague Island or nearby Tuross River offers excellent fishing and canoeing. Explore the 1879 wreck of the steamer 'Monaro at Bingie Point.
Located 600m from the Highway ( well maintained dirt road) Ellesmere is easily accessed by car or bike. Local bus companies run services from the highway to Moruya, Canberra and Sydney and the area is serviced by Moruya Taxis.
