The centre of Algaida with shops and restaurants is about 10 minutes away by car, the airport and the nearest beaches about 15 minutes.

The small town of Algaida is embedded in a fertile landscape. The local market is accordingly rich in fresh fruit and vegetables. On the outskirts of the village are some old windmills, which have been gradually restored, as well as the oldest glass factory on the island. In the surroundings, there are churches and pilgrimage monasteries, which are worth a detour. In addition, there are many old estates and numerous cycle paths around Algaida.
