Description

Outstanding and elegant luxury chalet in a sunny hillside position with scandinavian stove and free WiFi. The three-storey chalet is equipped with great taste and a high-quality standard. The use of regional wood like oak and larch create a warm and cosy ambiance in this charming mountain chalet. All bedrooms dispose of an en suite bathroom. Top floor: The bright and spacous living and dining room welcomes you on the top floor. Relax in the living area on the fireplace with large sofa, reading chair, Sat-TV, DVD-Player and sound system. Panoramic windows offer great views of the mountains and across the valley; acces to the balcony. The table in the dining area comfortably seats 8 people. The open, high-quality swiss crafted kitchen is fully equipped. On the same floor is the Master-Bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower and WC. There is also a small office room with desk and chair. Separate toilet. Upper floor: The upper floor contains the three other bedrooms, each equipped with a private en-suite bathroom. Ground floor: The heated ski room with electric boot dryer and the laundry room are located on the ground floor. The 4-seater chairlift of Les Masses starts at just 650 m from the chalet; access via a footpath (not cleared or secured) or 1,1 km by car. You can park in the lift garage. To the small supermarket and the Les Masses Restaurant it's about 750 on the footpath or 1,1 km by car. From the ski area, you can ski back close to the chalet (no marked or prepared ski run, use at own risk). Distance to the village of Les Collons ~4 km with shops, restaurants, pubs, ski rental shop, ski school, bank, post office and tourist information. Indoor swimming pool and kindergarden (from 18 months on) at Thyon 2000, ~8 km. The beautiful regional capital Sion (oldest town in Switzerland) is 18 km away at the bottom of the mountain. The village of Hérémence is ~5 minutes away by car, which also has restaurants and bars, bank, supermarket and post office. The small village of Vex has an excellent butcher shop, a good supermarket and a pharmacy which is ~10 mins away by car. Ski info Chalet altitude 1.500 m; top of the ski slopes 3.330 m at Mt Fort glacier; 410 km of alpine slopes, 95 ski lifts, largest Swiss ski area. About 650 m (by foot) / 1,1 km (by car) distance to the high speed chair lift Les Masses - Les Collons, you can go directly to the Four Valleys ski area, most often without any queuing. Huge snowpark. Attractive sledge run between Thyon and Les Collons. Free open air ice rink in Les Collons. 12 km of Nordic slopes. Ski pass reduction To be requested on site, from the management agency: guests benefit from a reduction of up to 20% -depending on the rental week- on ski passes for the entire ski area Les Collons - Verbier - 4 Valleys or for the partial area 'Printze', from 6 days on; also valid for children, youths and seniors (information as of winter season 2019-2020). Summer info The chalet has two balconies and a paved terrace with table, chairs, barbecue and sun awning. There is an open pasture to the south west and a running brook alongside the chalet. Summer guests in Les Masses can expect a wide range of activities. It is part of a vast hiking area, there are several mountain bikes routes. You can also walk with no great differences in altitude along the "Suonen" (historic irrigation channels). You can also go horse riding, climbing, paragliding or bowling. In the Valais’ capital Sion, it is worth to go shopping or to spend an evening eating a gourmet meal. More sights in the proximity: underground lake St-Léonard, the Grande Dixence dam and lake – at 285 m the highest dam in the world.
